An innovative, international publication, the Journal of Anthropological Archaeology is devoted to the development of theory and, in a broad sense, methodology for the systematic and rigorous understanding of the organization, operation, and evolution of human societies.The discipline served by the journal is characterized by its goals and approach, not by geographical or temporal bounds. The data utilized or treated range from the earliest archaeological evidence for the emergence of human culture to historically documented societies and the contemporary observations of the ethnographer, ethnoarchaeologist, sociologist, or geographer. These subjects appear in the journal as examples of cultural organization, operation, and evolution, not as specific historical phenomena. The Journal of Anthropological Sciences (JASs) is the official publication of the Istituto Italiano di Antropologia (ISItA). It is the continuation of the Atti della Società Romana di Antropologia (from 1893 to 1910) and Rivista di Antropologia (until 2003). The JASs publishes original articles, notes and reviews concerning all aspects of evolutionary anthropology (primatology, human paleontology, prehistory, biology and genetics of extinct and extant populations), with particular attention towards interdisciplinary approaches. Starting since 2004, the Journal has been subjected to a profound change and innovation concerning the language (only english), types of contributions (new sections such as JASs invited reviews, JASs forum and Do it yourself), web site (redesigned and allowing free downloading). .

The Journal of Antibiotics seeks to promote research on antibiotics and related types of medicinal substances. The journal will accept biochemical, chemical, microbiological and pharmacological studies. However, studies regarding human therapy do not fall under the journal's scope. Contributions regarding antibiotics and bioactive microbial products are particularly encouraged. Topics of particular interest within the journal's scope include, but are not limited to, those listed below: * Discovery of new antibiotics and related microbial products * Production, isolation, characterization, structural elucidation, chemical synthesis and derivatization, biological activities, mechanisms of action, and structure-activity relationships of antibiotics and related microbial products * Biosynthesis, bioconversion, taxonomy and genetic studies on producing microorganisms, as well as improvement of production of antibiotics and related microbial products * Novel physical, chemical, biochemical, microbiological or pharmacological methods for detection, assay, determination, structural elucidation and evaluation of antibiotics and related microbial products * Newly found properties, mechanisms of action and resistance-development of antibiotics and related microbial productsThe Journal of Antibiotics's original articles cover new theories and primary research. The journal also publishes regular short reviews, book reviews, and news and commentary articles.

Journal of Anxiety Disorders is an interdisciplinary journal that publishes research papers dealing with all aspects of anxiety disorders for all age groups (child, adolescent, adult and geriatric). Manuscripts that focus on disorders formerly categorized as anxiety disorders (obsessive-compulsive disorder, posttraumatic stress disorder) and the new category of illness anxiety disorder are also within the scope of the journal. Research areas of focus include: traditional, behavioral, cognitive and biological assessment; diagnosis and classification; psychosocial and psychopharmacological treatment; genetics; epidemiology; and prevention. Theoretical and review articles that contribute substantially to current knowledge in the field are appropriate for submission.
