Plant Ecology publishes original scientific papers that report and interpret the findings of pure and applied research into the ecology of vascular plants in terrestrial and wetland ecosystems. Empirical, experimental, theoretical and review papers reporting on ecophysiology, population, community, ecosystem, landscape, molecular and historical ecology are within the scope of the journal.  The journal publishes peer-reviewed Research Manuscripts (maximum length of 6000 words) and Research Letters (maximum length of 2500 words, maximum of four tables/figures), reviews and special issues by submission and by invitation. Long monographs (up to 9000 words) may be accepted by the Editor-in-Chief where a case is made by the authors  in relation to work of the highest quality. Research Letters can report on any area within the Scope of the journal, but are particularly sought in relation to topical issues in plant ecology, especially pertaining to theory and methodology. Plant Ecology and Diversity is an international journal and the new forum of the Botanical Society of Scotland for communicating results and ideas in plant science. All areas of plant biology relating to ecology, evolution and diversity are of interest, including those which explicitly deal with today's highly topical themes, such as biodiversity, conservation and global change. Submissions concerning cold environments world-wide are particularly welcome. Plant Ecology and Diversity considers for publication original research articles, short communications, reviews, and scientific correspondence that explore thought provoking ideas. Unique to Plant Ecology and Diversity is its Scottish section, publishing contributions on aspects of botany and plant ecology particular to Scotland. The journal is open to reporting 'negative results' and 'repeat experiments' that test ecological theories experimentally, in theoretically flawless and methodologically sound papers. Plant Ecology and Evolution is a diamond open access journal that publishes papers about ecology, phylogenetics, and systematics of all plant groups (including algae, fungi, and myxomycetes), also covering related fields such as comparative and developmental morphology, conservation biology, evolution, phytogeography, pollen and spores, population biology, and vegetation studies. Submissions concerning (sub)tropical Africa are particularly welcome.

Plant Foods for Human Nutrition (formerly Qualitas Plantarum) is an international journal presenting reports of original research and critical reviews concerned with the improvement and evaluation of the nutritional quality of plant foods for humans, as they are influenced by: Biotechnology, including molecular biology and genetic engineering Food science and technology Functional, nutraceutical or pharma foods Other nutrients and non-nutrients inherent in plant foods
