The Journal of Bioenergetics and Biomembranes has a new Editor in Chief, Daniel M. Raben who assumed his new position on January 1, 2013. Dr. Raben is now joined by four new Associate Editors and an updated and expanded Editorial Board. This team is dedicated to growing and expanding JOBB to meet the research needs of its expanding audience. The Journal of Bioenergetics and Biomembranes is an international journal devoted to the publication of original research that contributes to fundamental knowledge in the areas of bioenergetics, membranes, and transport, including oxidative phosphorylation, photosynthesis, muscle contraction, and biomembranes. The timely research in this international journal benefits biophysicists, membrane biologists, cell biologists, biochemists, molecular biologists, physiologists, endocrinologists, and bio-organic chemists.

The Journal of Bioethical Inquiry is a forum for discussing and debating ethical, cultural and social issues arising in medicine, the health sciences and health care in general. Coverage includes core areas of conventional bioethics, such as research, clinical practice and medical technology. The journal also addresses questions of pressing contemporary relevance, such as the implications of current world events for the health of populations, and critical analyses of specific social policies around the world and their likely impact on health and welfare and systems of power. The Journal of Biorheology, the official journal of the Japanese Society of Biorheology, is an international journal covering the science and application of the deformation and flow properties of biological materials, including food materials. The aim of the journal is to provide a peer-reviewed forum for the publication of original papers and authoritative review papers dealing with the dynamics of physiological processes at all levels of organization, from organs to the molecular level. The scope of the journal covers the basic science and its applications in the broad field of biorheology: the rheology of macromolecules, cell rheology, tissue and organ rheology, and food rheology. The Journal of Biorheology accepts original articles, brief communications, and review articles. The editors encourage the submission of biorheological analysis of pathological processes and their clinical implications, including basic clinical research on hemodynamics and hemorheology. Also highly welcome are translational clinical studies and scientific research between the fields of engineering and medicine.

Published by the Indian Academy of Sciences, the Journal of Biosciences covers all areas of Biology and is India’s premier journal within its scope. It is indexed in Current Contents and other standard Biological and Medical databases. The Journal of Biosciences began in 1934 as the Proceedings of the Indian Academy of Sciences (Section B). In 1978 it split into Proceedings-Animal Sciences, Proceedings-Plant Sciences and Proceedings-Experimental Biology. Proceedings-Experimental Biology was renamed Journal of Biosciences in 1979; in 1991, it merged with Proceedings-Animal Sciences and Proceedings-Plant Sciences.
