The Lancet Planetary Health is a monthly, open access, online-only title in The Lancet's growing family of specialty journals. Building on the foundation of The Rockefeller Foundation-Lancet Commission on planetary health, the journal is committed to publishing high-quality original Research Articles, Editorials, Comments, and Correspondence that contribute to defining and advancing planetary health worldwide.
Planetary health has been defined as the health of the human civilisation and the state of the natural systems on which it depends.
To explain this idea in simple terms we need to think of humanity as one of the key driving forces of global environmental change. We live on a planet that is shaped by the activity of human beings. We have benefited from the exploitation of the natural resources of the environment, and this has allowed us to develop, flourish, and to improve our health. But, we have now gone beyond a sustainable limit. The planet we live in is in grave danger. Species are under pressure. The environmental changes to the climate, the water, the land, and ecosystems are challenging life on the Earth with serious implications for our health and wellbeing. The way we think about the planet needs to be revised and with it the approach we take to interact with it.
It is against this backdrop that we welcome The Lancet Planetary Health. In keeping with our other journals, The Lancet Planetary Health will offer rapid publication of research online within 8-12 weeks from submission. We invite all original research submissions that have the potential to change or challenge the interplay between the environment and human health. We take a broad and inclusive approach to planetary health, and we especially wish to emphasise our interest in interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary research.
Submissions are subjected to The Lancet's usual rigorous standards of external and statistical peer review, and are edited by experienced copy editors to the highest standards. All original research remains the property of the author, and reuse by others is permitted under either CC BY or CC BY-NC-ND Creative Commons licences, depending on authors' preferences or funding bodies' mandates.

Language Learning Journal (LLJ) provides a forum for scholarly contributions on current aspects of foreign language and teaching. LLJ is an international, peer-reviewed journal that is intended for an international readership, including foreign language teachers, language teacher educators, researchers and policy makers. Contributions, in English, tend to assume a certain range of target languages. The Law Teacher is a fully-refereed journal concerned with legal education at all academic levels. Whilst it is the journal of the UK-based Association of Law Teachers, both the Association and the journal are international in outlook and contributions from any jurisdiction are welcome in any section of the journal. The journal is produced in three issues annually. One of these issues is normally organised around a special theme. Subject-matterThe Law Teacher will reflect the interest in legal education at all levels and in any jurisdiction held by members of the Association of Law Teachers and its other subscribers. The normal structure of each issue provides for four discrete sections: Articles Policy and Education Developments Recent Legal Developments Book Reviews. 1. Articles should generally address issues of legal education rather than substantive law as such. What falls within the concept of 8216;legal education' will be broadly interpreted, and could include any issues which will be of interest to law teachers. The journal is particularly interested in reporting pedagogical developments, properly grounded in theory and effectively researched and analysed and the results of empirical research into matters of concern to law teachers. Articles will typically be of a length of some 5,000 words, although considerable flexibility will be permitted.2. Policy and Education Developments will include shorter pieces focused on policy and education issues likely to be of interest to the readership of the journal. In general, authors should provide an informed overview of their topic, providing the reader with an understanding of the relevance of the issue to legal education. Authors are encouraged to draw upon their own practice and experience where relevant and to explore the implications for legal education suggested by their analysis of the topic.3. Recent Legal Developments will address changes in substantive and adjectival law, with a particular focus on areas likely to be of interest to a wide range of law teachers. Thus, a concentration on 8216;core' areas may be expected, but this will not be the exclusive focus. Articles for this section will typically be 2-3,000 words in length, although some flexibility will be permitted.4. Book Reviews will focus on books and other materials of interest to those teaching the law and address their practical value in working with students on different types of course. Reviewers are encouraged to introduce a comparative element to their reviews where competing texts are considered.Peer ReviewThe Law Teacher operates a policy of peer review in respect of pieces submitted for the 8216;Articles' and 8216;Recent Legal Developments' sections of the journal. The normal process involves articles initially being read by the General Editor and, if potentially appropriate for the journal, anonymised and sent out to experts in the field who are asked to review them for publishability. Two reviewers are normally sought and will remain anonymous. Where potentially publishable, reviewers are asked to make recommendations for amendment or improvement of the draft work. The Editor will take a final decision as to publication on the basis of reviewers' recommendations. Where significant change or development of an article is proposed, the revised version may be submitted to reviewers again before a final decision on publication is taken.An exception to the practice of peer review may arise where a specific article has been commissioned or where it is the published version of a formal lecture organised by the Association of Law Teachers, such as the Annual Lord Upjohn Lecture.

The Legal History Review, inspired by E.M. Meijers, is a peer-reviewed journal and was founded in 1918 by a number of Dutch jurists, who set out to stimulate scholarly interest in legal history in their own country and also to provide a centre for international cooperation in the subject. This has gradually through the years been achieved. The Review had already become one of the leading internationally known periodicals in the field before 1940. Since 1950 when it emerged under Belgo-Dutch editorship its position strengthened. Much attention is paid not only to the common foundations of the western legal tradition but also to the special, frequently divergent development of national law in the various countries belonging to, or influenced by it. Modern and contemporary, as well as ancient and medieval history is considered. Roman law and its later development, as well as canon law, have always been particularly important; in addition the history of the English Common Law has been extensively studied.
The Library is the journal of the Bibliographical Society. For more than a hundred years it has been the pre-eminent scholarly journal for the history of books, both manuscript and printed, and the role of books in history. All aspects of descriptive and historical bibliography come within its scope, including the general and economic history of the production and distribution of books, paper, printing types, illustration, and binding, as well as the transmission of texts and their authenticity. Each issue of The Library normally contains 100-115 pages, illustrated where necessary. Also included in each issue are reviews and lists of recent books and periodicals in the field. A comprehensive index is issued annually.
