Founded in 1982, it is published in association with the national voluntary organisation Cruse Bereavement Care. Over the years, Bereavement Care has grown to become a unique international journal that sets a high academic and scientific standard while remaining accessible to non-academics and non-scientists. Our readers include both volunteers and professionals, from many parts of the world, who work to help bereaved people of all races and creeds. It is their need for reliable and digestible information about all aspects of bereavement that remains our raison d'234;tre. The journal contains original papers, articles, reviews and correspondence on all aspects of the care of people bereaved by death. The editors welcome contributions on the needs of people from different cultures, religions and philosophies. Personal experiences and case reports that add something new to our understanding have a place alongside reports of research and innovations in service and theory.
