Slovo is a fully refereed, twice-yearly journal, edited and managed by postgraduates of the UCL School of Slavonic and East European Studies. This journal aims to discuss and interpret Russian, Eurasian, Central and East European affairs, covering the fields of anthropology, economics, film, geography, history, international studies, linguistics, literature, media, politics and sociology. Slovo has presented postgraduates with what has in many cases been their first publishing opportunity. It is a refereed journal in which they have been able to present their ideas and research alongside that of members of staff. Fully managed by the postgraduate community, this has meant that students have from time to time refereed the work of their own teachers! From its humble beginnings (the first edition appeared as a slim volume in May 1988 and included contributions from staff members Julian Graffy, Geoffrey Hosking and George Schöpflin) Slovo has gone from strength to strength culminating in the presentation of a special edition following the first annual postgraduate conference, held biennially at SSEES.

Entrepreneurship is increasingly important as a scholarly field. Small Business Economics provides an invaluable forum for research and scholarship focusing on the role of entrepreneurship and small business. The journal has a broad scope and focuses on multiple dimensions of entrepreneurship, including entrepreneurs' characteristics, new ventures and innovation, firms' life cycles; as well as the role played by institutions and public policies within local, regional, national and international contexts. Small Business Economics publishes theoretical, empirical, and conceptual papers and encourages interdisciplinary and cross-disciplinary research from a broad spectrum of disciplines and related fields, including economics, finance, management, psychology, regional studies, sociology and strategy. Small Enterprise Research (SER) is an international, scholarly, and double blind peer-reviewed journal, established in 1992, with an Asia Pacific entrepreneurship orientation, which presents practitioner, analytical and theoretical insights into small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) including entrepreneurial firms.

Small Enterprise Research is the official journal of the Small Enterprise Association of Australia and New Zealand Ltd (SEAANZ), a not-for-profit organisation founded in 1987 with the specific purpose of advancing research, education, policy and practice in the field of small enterprise and entrepreneurship.

As the official journal of SEAANZ, Small Enterprise Research is dedicated to the advancement of these “four pillars” through the dissemination of knowledge. The geographic scope of  Small Enterprise Research  is global, although submissions focused on the Asia-Pacific region are particularly encouraged. Consistent with the scholarship development role of SEAANZ we also encourage submissions from early career researchers and research students.

Small Group Research (SGR), peer-reviewed and published bi-monthly, is an international and interdisciplinary journal presenting research, theoretical advancements, and empirically supported applications with respect to all types of small groups. SGR, a leader in the field, addresses and connects three vital areas of study: the psychology of small groups, communication within small groups,and organizational behavior of small groups.
