Publishing Research Quarterly is an international forum for the publication of original peer-reviewed papers covering significant research and analyses on the full range of the publishing environment. The journal provides analysis of content development, production, distribution, and marketing of books, magazines, journals, and online information services in relation to the social, political, economic, and technological conditions that shape the publishing process, extending from editorial decision-making to order processing. Publishing Research Quarterly publishes significant research reports and analyses of industry trends, covering topics such as product development, marketing, financial aspects, and print and online distribution as well as the relationship between publishing activities and publishing’s constituencies among industry, government, and consumer communities. Scholarly articles, research reports, review papers, essays, surveys, memoirs, statistics, letters, and notes that contribute to knowledge about how different sectors of the publishing industry operate are published, as well as book reviews.

The Journal of Federalism: a virtual issue which provides a compendium of recent articles in Publius on a topical issue. The first virtual issue, available by clicking below, was edited by Patrick McGuinn on Federalism and Education Policy. This issue features Patrick’s overview on federalism and education policy and makes available previously published Publius articles on No Child Left Behind, the Race to the Top, higher education, and U.S. and Canadian education policy. This issue should be of great interest to scholars in education policy and valuable for classroom use to illustrate the dynamism and relevance of federalism in this important public policy area. This virtual issue is available at no cost for six months. Later this year we will upload a similar virtual issue on health policy. The Puerto Rico Health Sciences Journal (PRHSJ) is the scientific journal of the University of Puerto Rico Medical Sciences Campus. It was founded in 1982 as a vehicle for the publication of reports on scientific research conducted in-campus, Puerto Rico and abroad. All published work is original and peer-reviewed. The PRHSJ is included in Index Medicus, MEDLINE, SCOPUS, Index Pharmacus, Science Citation Index Expanded (SciSearch®) and Journal Citation Reports/Science Edition. All papers are published both online and in hard copy. From its beginning, the PRHSJ is being published regularly four times a year. The scope of the journal includes a range of medical, dental, public health, pharmaceutical and biosocial sciences research. The journal publishes full-length articles, brief reports, special articles, reviews, editorials, case reports, clinical images, and letters arising from published material. Pulmonary Medicine is a peer-reviewed, open access journal that publishes original research articles, review articles, and clinical studies in all areas of pulmonary medicine.

Pulmonary Pharmacology and Therapeutics (formerly Pulmonary Pharmacology) is concerned with lung pharmacology from molecular to clinical aspects. The subject matter encompasses the major diseases of the lung including asthma, cystic fibrosis, pulmonary circulation, ARDS, carcinoma, bronchitis, emphysema and drug delivery. Laboratory and clinical research on man and animals will be considered including studies related to chemotherapy of cancer, tuberculosis and infection. Too preliminary: A paper must be based on a thorough and extensive study, using proper controlsImmediate rejection criteria are: a) In vitro studies with a single dose, or very high concentration b) Single dose studies with very few animals, no dose-response studies c) No proper controls. d) Repetition or confirmation of an earlier work3. Unethical: The study must have been carried under appropriate ethical approval for the study (either animal or human).4. Inappropriate experiments or lacking essential detailImmediate rejection criteria are: a) Wrong species or lacking details on the exact number of animals/subjects used b) No details of structure if a new drug is used for the first time5. Lack of novelty: The study must represent a novel approach to the field.Immediate rejection criteria are: a) Repetition of well known data b) No advance of knowledge in the fieldNote that only manuscripts written in good English will be considered by the Editors (British usage is preferred).
