The Journal of Ophthalmic Inflammation and Infection is a peer-reviewed open access journal published under the brand SpringerOpen. It presents current clinical and experimental research on a range of ophthalmic inflammation and infection.Coverage includes original studies, review articles, brief reports, case reports, photo essays and expert commentary on challenging cases. The journal reflects geographical variations in incidence of diseases as well as different treatment modalities worldwide. This is the official journal of the International Ocular Inflammation Society (IOIS), focusing on relevant clinical and experimental research on ophthalmic inflammation and infection. The editorial board includes international experts in the field of ophthalmic inflammation and infection. The journal publishes original studies, review articles, brief reports (including case reports), photo essays and challenging cases commented by experts. The editorial board represents international experts in the field of ophthalmic inflammation and infection.
Journal of Ophthalmology is a peer-reviewed, open access journal that publishes original research articles, review articles, and clinical studies in all areas of ophthalmology.
This is the journal for all scientists working in optical communications. Journal of Optical Communications was the first international publication covering all fields of optical communications with guided waves. It is the aim of the journal to serve all scientists engaged in optical communications as a comprehensive journal tailored to their needs and as a forum for their publications. The journal focuses on the main fields in optical communications: Fibers: Theory of single-/ multimode step-/ graded-index fibers; theory of properties (dispersion, attenuation, etc.); manufacturing; materials; splicing and coupling; experimental results and measurements of parameters (attenuation, bandwidth, profile, mode- mixing, strength, etc.) Cables: Production methods; construction; measurements and results on test links; theory on influence of cabling to fibers; splicing and coupling; economic aspects; undersea-cables Sources: Technology of ternary and quaternary III-V compounds for LED and laser; theory; material research; measurements on behaviour and life-span; new experimental methods; coupling to fibers; new structures Detectors: Technology of all kind of detectors; new devices and structures; theory (especially on noise, multiplication and bandwidth); test procedures; experimental results; coupling with fibers Measurements and standards: Problem of standards for measurements and data sheets; investigation of test procedures; system standardization of elements (i.e. dimensions) Systems: Theory of system configuration, modulation methods (digital, multilevel, analogue); comparison between different systems; influence of elements on system behaviour; reports on test links; system properties (theoretical/experimental); system description and measurements Applications: Long distance links; high-bit-rate communication; databus-systems; CATV; special applications Integrated optics: Theory and experiments of integrated optical wave-guides (monomode, multimode) concerning optical communications/ as couplers, distributors, exchange elements, splitters, unidirectional elements; new technologies; materials (i.e. dielectrics, semiconductors); measurement-techniques; new devices.
The scope of the Journal includes advances in the state-of-the-art of optical networking science, technology, and engineering. Both theoretical contributions (including new techniques, concepts, analyses, and economic studies) and practical contributions (including optical networking experiments, prototypes, and new applications) are encouraged. Subareas of interest include the architecture and design of optical networks, optical network survivability and security, software-defined optical networking, elastic optical networks, data and control plane advances, network management related innovation, and optical access networks. Enabling technologies and their applications are suitable topics only if the results are shown to directly impact optical networking beyond simple point-to-point networks.
he Journal of Optical Technology is an English-language translation of the journal Opticheskii Zhurnal, which originates at the S.I. Vavilov Optical Institute (Tuchkov Lane 1, 199034 St. Petersburg, Russia; tel. 812-328-3986).This monthly publication includes design details of a diversity of optical instruments, along with a strong section on computational optics useful to engineers, mathematicians, and physicists, as well as optical scientists. Issues of the translation volume appear at the same time as the Russian-language edition.
Serving the whole of the optics community, Journal of Optics covers all aspects of research within modern and classical optics.
The Journal of Optimization Theory and Applications publishes carefully selected papers covering mathematical optimization techniques and their applications to science and engineering. Typical theoretical areas covered in the journal include linear, nonlinear, mathematical, and dynamic programming. Among the areas of application covered are mathematical economics, mathematical physics and biology, and aerospace, chemical, civil, electrical, and mechanical engineering. The Journal of Optimization Theory and Applications journal publishes five types of contributions: survey papers, contributed papers, technical notes, technical comments, and book notices.
