The Journal of Molecular Spectroscopy presents experimental and theoretical articles on all subjects relevant to molecular spectroscopy and its modern applications. An international medium for the publication of some of the most significant research in the field, the Journal of Molecular Spectroscopy is an invaluable resource for astrophysicists, chemists, physicists, engineers, and others involved in molecular spectroscopy research and practice.Feature Articles:It is planned to have several peer reviewed Feature articles in the Journal of Molecular Spectroscopy each year. These articles will overview areas of particular significance in molecular spectroscopy. They may review and consolidate an area of theoretical development or a collection of experimental data, in each case offering some new insights. The articles may also summarize the present status of a rapidly developing and/or evolving field. All the articles should serve as introductions to areas of spectroscopy other than one's specialty and should be particularly valuable to students entering the field.Feature articles will be solicited by invitation of the Editor. However, the Editor invites suggestions, with a reasonable level of detail, about topics that could be of interest. Self suggestions by potential authors are particularly encouraged.Submit your Article online:The 'Elsevier Editorial System' (or EES) is a web-based system with full online submission, review and status update capabilities. EES allows you to upload files directly from your computer. This is part of our on-going efforts to improve the efficiency and accuracy of our editorial procedures and the quality and timeliness of the manuscripts published. We strongly encourage all authors to use EES at the following URL when submitting papers to Journal of Molecular Spectroscopy. EES can be accessed at: http://ees.elsevier.com/jms(First time users will need to register)
The Journal of Molecular Structure is dedicated to the publication of full-length articles and review papers, providing important new structural information on all types of chemical species including:• Stable and unstable molecules in all types of environments (vapour, molecular beam, liquid, solution, liquid crystal, solid state, matrix-isolated, surface-absorbed etc.)• Chemical intermediates• Molecules in excited states• Biochemicals• Polymers. The methods used may include any combination of spectroscopic and non-spectroscopic techniques, for example:• Infrared spectroscopy (mid, far, near)• Raman spectroscopy and non-linear Raman methods (CARS, etc.)• Force constant and molecular mechanics calculations• Electronic absorption spectroscopy• Optical rotatory dispersion and circular dichroism• Fluorescence and phosphorescence techniques• Electron spectroscopies (PES, XPS), EXAFS, etc.• Microwave spectroscopy• Electron diffraction• NMR and ESR spectroscopies• Mössbauer spectroscopy• X-ray crystallography.Papers describing routine studies of little structural significance (e.g. straightforward X-ray crystal structure determinations) are not encouraged.Publications combining experimental and theoretical approaches to a problem are particularly welcomed. However, solely theoretical (semiempirical or ab initio) studies should be submitted to Computational and Theoretical Chemistry.
The Journal of Molecular and Cellular Cardiology publishes work advancing knowledge of the mechanisms responsible for both normal and diseased cardiovascular function. To this end papers are published in all relevant areas. These include (but are not limited to): structural biology; genetics; proteomics; morphology; stem cells; molecular biology; metabolism; biophysics; electrophysiology; pharmacology and physiology. Papers are encouraged with both basic and translational approaches. The journal is directed not only to basic scientists but also to clinical cardiologists who wish to follow the rapidly advancing frontiers of basic knowledge of the heart and circulation.US National Institutes of Health (NIH) voluntary posting ("Public Access") policyJournal of Molecular and Cellular Cardiology and Elsevier facilitate the author's response to the NIH Public Access Policy. The Journal of Molluscan Studies accepts papers on all aspects of the study of molluscs. These include systematics, molecular biology, palaeontology, ecology, physiology and many other areas, as will be seen from a glance through recent Contents lists. Where the topic is some aspect of applied malacology (for example fisheries, parasitology, neurobiology, biochemistry, biomedical studies etc), papers will still be considered as long as the mollusc is the principal focus of the study, and not incidental or simply a convenient experimental animal. While systematic papers are encouraged, descriptions of single new taxa will only be considered if they include significant ‘added value’, for example in the form of new information on anatomy or distribution, or if they are presented in the context of a systematic revision or phylogenetic analysis of the group. Papers in the format of Research Notes are generally methodological notes, or brief reports that are of unusually wide interest or importance; these are published as rapidly as possible after acceptance. Review papers on topics of general interest are also accepted. .
The Journal of Monetary Economics publishes important research contributions to a wide range of modern macroeconomic topics including work along empirical, methodological and theoretical lines. In recent years, these topics have been: asset pricing; banking, credit and financial markets; behavioral macroeconomics; business cycle analysis; consumption, labor supply, and saving; dynamic equilibria (theory and computational methods); economic growth and development; expectation formation, information and aggregate economic activity; fiscal shocks and fiscal policies; expectation formation; forecasting, macroeconometrics, and time series analysis; information and aggregate economic activity; international trade, exchange rates, and open economy macroeconomics; labor markets ; macroeconomic data and history; monetary policy; monetary theory; money demand and money supply behavior; optimal contracting and economic activity; productivity measurement and theory; pricing in product markets and labor markets; and real investment (inventories, fixed, human capital). The Journal of Monetary Economics has eight regular issues per year, with the Carnegie-Rochester Conference Series on Public Policy as the January and July issues.Benefits to authorsWe also provide many author benefits, such as free PDFs, a liberal copyright policy, special discounts on Elsevier publications and much more. The Journal of Montessori Research & Education will, as the name indicates, provide a publishing platform for research related to Montessori education. The overall aim is to contribute to the development of Montessori education built on high-quality research and by raising awareness of theoretical and empirical aspects of Montessori education. The journal is aimed at academics looking to advance the educational science as well as for practicing teachers looking to use evidence-based methods to improve their work.
The intention is to publish articles about research findings and design and to cover a wide range of relevant topics that are of international significance. We welcome work with a contemporary approach as well as about Montessori education in a historical context. Today there is an interest in finding alternative pedagogical models that will encourage students to establish challenging social, environmental and academic goals as well as to attain an entrepreneurial approach. Therefore we believe that this journal’s content will make an impact on communities interested in Montessori education, research and outcomes, all over the world.
