The Journal of Microbiological Methods publishes scholarly and original articles, notes and review articles. These articles must include novel and/or state-of-the-art methods, or significant improvements to existing methods. Novel and innovative applications of current methods that are validated and useful will also be published. JMM strives for scholarship, innovation and excellence. This demands scientific rigour, the best available methods and technologies, correctly replicated experiments/tests, the inclusion of proper controls, calibrations, and the correct statistical analysis. The presentation of the data must support the interpretation of the method/approach.All aspects of microbiology are covered, except virology. Publishes papers that deal with research on microorganisms, including archaea, bacteria, yeasts, fungi, microalgae, protozoa, and simple eukaryotic microorganisms. Topics considered for publication include Microbial Systematics, Evolutionary Microbiology, Microbial Ecology, Environmental Microbiology, Microbial Genetics, Genomics, Molecular Biology, Microbial Physiology, Biochemistry, Microbial Pathogenesis, Host-Microbe Interaction, Systems Microbiology, Synthetic Microbiology, Bioinformatics and Virology. Manuscripts dealing with simple identification of microorganism(s), cloning of a known gene and its expression in a microbial host, and clinical statistics will not be considered for publication by JM.

As ASM’s first open-access education journal, the Journal of Microbiology & Biology Education (JMBE) offers original, previously unpublished, peer-reviewed articles that foster scholarly teaching and provide readily adoptable resources in biology education at the undergraduate, graduate, professional (e.g., medical school), K-12 outreach, and informal education level. JMBE is edited by informed science educators who are active in the pursuit of scholarly teaching and biology education reform.

The Journal of Microbiology, Immunology and Infection is currently an official bi-monthly publication of the Taiwan Society of Microbiology, the Chinese Society of Immunology, the Infectious Diseases Society of Taiwan and the Taiwan Societyof Parasitology. The Journal is committed to disseminate high quality research related to latest trends and advanced in microbiology, immunology, and infectious diseases. Manuscript categories included original articles, review articles, case reports,brief communications, and research notes.

The topics of interest include, but are not limited to: devices ranging in size from microns to millimeters, IC-compatible fabrication techniques, other fabrication techniques, measurement of micro phenomena, theoretical results, new materials and designs, micro actuators, micro robots, micro batteries, bearings, wear, reliability, electrical interconnections, micro telemanipulation, and standards appropriate to MEMS. Application examples and application oriented devices in fluidics, optics, bio-medical engineering, etc., are also of central interest.

The Journal of Microencapsulation is a well-established, peer-reviewed journal dedicated to the publication of original research findings related to the preparation, properties and uses of individually encapsulated novel small particles, as well as significant improvements to tried-and-tested techniques relevant to micro and nano particles and their use in a wide variety of industrial, engineering, pharmaceutical, biotechnology and research applications. Its scope extends beyond conventional microcapsules to all other small particulate systems such as self assembling structures that involve preparative manipulation.The journal covers:*the chemistry of encapsulation materials;*the physics of release through the capsule wall and/or desorption from carrier;*the techniques of preparation;*content and storage;*the many uses to which microcapsules are put.Nanotechnology is now moving into medicine as nanomedicine; an emerging speciality with great potential in the development of unique opportunities for more refined targeting and for new therapeutic approaches to diagnose and treat life threatening diseases. Therefore, coverage also includes nanotechnological advances in the design and synthesis of these structures and their potential applications. Furthermore, there is an extensive information and reference section found in every issue of the journal comprising patent briefings. This publication is aimed at a broad, interdisciplinary audience of academic and industrial researchers actively engaged in basic and applied laboratory practice, related to engineering micro- and nano-structured particles, including pharmaceutical science, medicine, photographic and copying processes, food technology, agrochemicals, adhesives and all those interested in small particle science and technology.

Frequency: 12 issues per year.Journal of Micromechanics and Microengineering covers all aspects of microelectromechanical structures, devices, and systems, as well as micromechanics and micromechatronics. The journal focuses on original work in fabrication and integration technologies, on the micro- and nano-scale. The journal aims to highlight the link between new fabrication technologies and their capacity to create novel devices. Original work in microengineering and nanoengineering is also reported. Such work is defined as applications of these fabrication and integration technologies to structures in which key attributes of the devices or systems depend on specific micro- or nano-scale features. Such applications span the physical, chemical, electrical and biological realms. New fabrication and integration techniques for both silicon and non-silicon materials are reported. Relevant modelling papers in micro- and nanoengineering are reported where supported by experimental data. The journal also covers integration of interface electronics with micro- and nanoengineered systems, as well as vacuum microelectronics, microfabricated electrically passive elements, and other micro- or nanoengineering-enabled electrical devices.A submission to Journal of Micromechanics and Microengineering must be the original work of the author(s) and must not be published elsewhere or be under consideration for another publication in its submitted or a substantially similar form in any language. The Journal of Micropalaeontology (JM) is well-established as an international publication with a circulation approaching 900 copies covering all aspects of microfossils and their application both in applied studies and basic research.The current Editor-in-Chief, Professor Alan Lord (Forschungsinstitut Senckenberg), is supported by a board of specialist editors.This journal is published on behalf of The Micropalaeontological Society (TMS).The scope of the journal has always been broad, especially to show the application of microfossils to solving geological problems, but with an emphasis on taxonomy. The principal fields of interest are: biostratigraphy; evolution; palaeobiology; palaeoenvironments; reviews; taxonomic studies.The emphasis will be on applications. JMAU is ideal for publication of papers of significant contribution to knowledge in biology, medicine, materials science, chemistry, engineering, geosciences, and agriculture. The Journal also hosts papers concerned with the application of advanced microscopic techniques in histology, cytology, and specimen preparation.

JMAU welcomes review articles, original research papers, short technical notes, short communications, and letters to the Editors.

The Journal of the Microwave Power Energy (JMPEE) is a quarterly publication of the International Microwave Power Institute (IMPI), aimed to be one of the primary sources of the most reliable information in the arts and sciences of microwave and RF technology. JMPEE provides space to engineers and researchers for presenting papers about non-communication applications of microwave and RF, mostly industrial, scientific, medical and instrumentation. Topics include, but are not limited to: applications in materials science and nanotechnology, characterization of biological tissues, food industry applications, green chemistry, health and therapeutic applications, microwave chemistry, microwave processing of materials, soil remediation, and waste processing.
