This is the oldest English language journal in genetics. Founded by W. Bateson and R. C. Punnett in 1910, the Journal of Genetics was later edited by J. B. S. Haldane; later, Haldane and his wife, Helen Spurway brought the journal with them to India. After his death in 1964, Mrs. Haldane continued publication of the journal, with Madhav Gadgil and H. Sharat Chandra (Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore) and Suresh Jayakar (Laboratorio de Genetica Biochimica ed Evoluzionistica, Pavia) as editors, until her own death in 1977. In 1985, with the permission of Haldane’s heirs, the Indian Academy of Sciences resumed publication of the journal. The journal retains its traditional interest in evolutionary research that is of relevance to geneticists, even if not explicitly genetic in nature.
The Journal of Genetics and Genomics (JGG, formerly known as Acta Genetica Sinica ) is an international journal publishing peer-reviewed articles of novel and significant discoveries in the fields of genetics and genomics. Topics of particular interest include but are not limited to molecular genetics, developmental genetics, cytogenetics, epigenetics, medical genetics, population and evolutionary genetics, genomics and functional genomics as well as bioinformatics and computational biology. The main article types include original research, review, method article, letter to the editor, resource, highlight, and meeting report. Currently, JGG is indexed by Science Citation Index Expanded (SCI-E), Medline, Scopus, Biosis Previews and Chemical Abstracts. JGG publishes papers in English only and is distributed internationally.
Journal of Genocide Research is a cross-disciplinary journal that promotes the scholarly study of genocide.
Genocide is a contested legal, historical, sociological and political term that is applied in various spheres: in international law, in academic analyses of genocide, past and present, and in political claim making. Journal of Genocide Research welcomes contributions that combine empirical research with conceptual reflection on these and related topics, like social psychology, military intervention, post-genocide conflict management as well as gender and memory issues.
All submissions undergo rigorous peer review, based on initial editor screening and anonymized refereeing by two external scholars.
The Journal of Genome Editing and Regulation (JGER) is open access, peer-reviewed, and fully refereed scholarly journal. The journal publishes original papers, short reports, reviews, and communications on all aspects of genomic research, focusing on RNA biology, gene regulation and genome editing techniques.
Editor: Jiuzhou Song
The journal aims to provide a platform for presenting and discussing all cutting-edge gene regulatory research and genome-editing, improving the understanding of genome to phenome, and develop new strategies for mechanisms, decoding, annotation of genomes. The journal welcomes multidisciplinary genome research submissions, including molecular biology, genetics, epigenetics, computational biology, and comparative genomics studies. Research that can develop gene regulations' impacts, editing on viruses and bacteria's genomes to improve animal and human diseases' therapeutics is highly encouraged.

JGE: a journal for map-based geochemistry.Scope:The journal is dedicated to the publication of research studies that cover new developments in the application of analytical geochemistry and geoinformatics. Themes considered by the journal include:- Geochemical exploration and the genesis of mineral deposits- Metal transfer processes in large-scale mineralized areas- Chemical and transport processes for basinal fluids associated with mineral deposits and petroleum resources - Interdisciplinary studies at the boundaries between organic geochemistry, metal transport, and sites of mineral accumulation- Evaluation of the effects of historical mining activities on the surface environment- Environmental geochemistry and geology including metal migration and accumulation processes in the near-surface environment and impacts on human health- Other related studies. To create a platform for the repository of map-based geochemistry data, a new section entitled "For the record", is designated for publishing stand-alone geochemical mapping results. In order to manage manuscripts from all fields of study, the chief editors have divided the journal into topical sections: studies related to geoinformatics, geochemical exploration (excluding petroleum and organic geochemistry), geochemical baseline mapping, urban geochemistry, and map-based environmental geochemistry, including site characterization and remediation, are managed by Prof. Benedetto De Vivo; studies involving applications of geochemistry to ore genesis, the environment and to human health, geochemical distribution processes in mineralized areas affecting the surface environment, and geochemometrics are managed by Dr. Robert Ayuso. To further help in the delivery of high quality papers covering the breadth of themes to the journal, associate editors are assigned to individual papers within their own expertise from either editor.
The Journal of Geodesy is an international journal concerned with the study of scientific problems of geodesy and related interdisciplinary sciences. It presents peer-reviewed papers on theoretical or modeling studies, and on results of experiments and interpretations. In addition to original research papers, the journal publishes commissioned review papers on topical subjects and special issues arising from chosen scientific symposia or workshops. The journal covers the whole range of geodetic science and reports on theoretical and applied studies in research areas such as positioning; reference frame; geodetic networks; modeling and quality control; space geodesy; remote sensing; gravity fields, and geodynamics.
The Journal of Geodynamics is an international and interdisciplinary forum for the publication of results and discussions of solid earth research in geodetic, geophysical, geological and geochemical geodynamics, with special emphasis on the large scale processes involved.Papers addressing interdisciplinary aspects, analyses, results and interpretation will receive special attention. Original research papers, including 'letters', as well as topical reviews are invited on:• Earth rotation• Rheology and mineral properties of the deep earth, physical properties of rocks and their dependence on pressure, temperature and chemical composition• Upper mantle - lower mantle; lithosphere - asthenosphere• Mantle convection, hot spots and plumes, heat flow and the thermo-mechanical evolution of the earth• Plate kinematics, plate tectonics and plate dynamics, driving mechanisms• Stress field; horizontal and vertical crustal movements• Evolution of continents and oceans, including the formation and destruction of oceanic lithosphere, orogenic processes and basin evolution• Crust-mantle interaction, chemical recycling• Sea surface and ocean bottom topography, including variations of sea level• Dynamic interpretation and modelling of potential fields, including isostasy, glacial isostasy• Magma formation, differentiation, transport and emplacement, including modelling of volcanic eruptions• Dynamic consequences of natural events, including source dynamics, seismic modelling, seismo-tectonics, modelling of earthquakes, impacts• Data aquisition and analysis for geodynamics, including the use of SLR, VLBI, GPS, etc• Integrated models and non-linear processes. The emphasis lies on endogenic and also interacting exogenic processes and their geological effects in the widest sense, as well as on results obtained from geophysical, geodetic and geological measurements and analytical techniques applied to deduce them.
