Fuel Processing Technology deals with the scientific and technological aspects of processing fuels to other fuels, chemicals and by-products. Processing is considered in the sense of chemical conversions such as hydrogenation, gasification, pyrolysis and upgrading as well as physical processing by beneficiation, cleaning and removal of inorganic matter as well as sizing, crushing or screening. Coal, petroleum, oil shale, tar sands and peat are emphasized. Papers on biofuels are also encouraged. All technological aspects of processing are included such as optimization, catalysis, feeding, product separation, catalyst recovery, economics, pollution control, etc., concerned with liquefaction, gasification, combustion, solvent extraction (or solvent refining), co-processing of coal and oil, and upgrading (such as O, N, or S removal) processes.Contributions are appropriate on the chemistry and science of fuels and their products as these relate to processing of fuels, the products of processing or experience in bench scale, process development units or commercial process development.Benefits to authorsWe also provide many author benefits, such as free PDFs, a liberal copyright policy, special discounts on Elsevier publications and much more. Research into energy sources remains a key issue. Over the last 80 years, Fuel has been the leading source of primary research work in fuel science. The scope is broad and includes many topics of increasing interest such as environmental aspects and pollution.A wide variety of fuels are covered:• Asphalt• Coke• Graphite• Oils and gases• Peat• Synthetic fuels (including Dimethyl ether (DME), Methanol etc)• Biofuels• Tar sands• Bitumen• Coal• Natural gas• Oil shale• Petroleum• Tar and pitch• Woods and biomass• Hydrogen fuels• Waste-derived fuels (WDF)• Refuse-derived fuels (RDF)• Carbon with applications to fuel energyFuel is proud to sponsor the ACS Fuel Division Storch Award, in recognition of distinguished contributions to fundamental or engineering research on the chemistry and utilization of all hydrocarbon fuels (excluding petroleum).
Fulbright Review of Economics and Policy is an academic, peer-reviewed, open access journal which publishes theoretical and empirical results in all the areas of economics and public policy.
A new international and interdisciplinary forum, Fullerenes, Nanotubes, and Carbon Nanostructures, aims at publishing peer-reviewed research of original work in all areas of fullerene research. Publishing high quality papers from all fields of scientific inquiry related to fullerenes, the journal intends to provide a means of communication between researchers who are interested in fundamental and applied fullerene science issues. Publication office: Taylor & Francis, Inc., 325 Chestnut Street, Suite 800, Philadelphia, PA 19106.
Function publishes original full research articles, but also short Focus articles that report an important new observation, based on solid evidence, but without the full exploration required for a full paper. All full research articles will be accompanied by a perspective article, written by an acknowledged expert in the field. A new type of Evidence Review article, quoting only original papers, will be commissioned from leading experts, but suggestions for such articles are welcome. All scientific content published in the journal goes through a comprehensive, quick, and fair review process overseen by experts in the field, but in addition Function will also publish editorials and opinion pieces. For the most up-to-date view of citation information relating to articles published in Function please see Google Scholar.
Functional Analysis and its Applications contains articles devoted to current problems of functional analysis, including representation theory, theory of abstract and functional spaces, theory of operators, spectral theory, theory of operator equations, and the theory of normed rings. The journal also covers the most important applications of functional analysis in mathematics, mechanics, and theoretical physics. Founded by I. M. Gel'fand in 1967, Functional Analysis and its Applications is a translation of the peer-reviewed Russian journal Funktsional'Nyi Analiz i Ego Prilozheniya, a publication of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
