Welcome to the Journal Guide

If you are a researcher from Lancaster University you can search for your favourite journals or filter to get to a selection of journals that match your research topic. Select a funder to see whether the journals are compliant. Check the filter ‘Journals with Agreements’ to limit the list to journals for which the APCs are fully waived (i.e. included in our Read and Publish agreements) or discounted. If a cost is shown then please email openaccess@lancaster.ac.uk to see if the Open Access team can cover costs.

Glycobiology

ISSN: 0959-6658eISSN: 1460-2423

Established as the leading journal in the field, Glycobiology provides a unique forum dedicated to research into the biological functions of glycans, including glycoproteins, glycolipids, proteoglycans and free oligosaccharides, and on proteins that specifically interact with glycans (including lectins, glycosyltransferases, and glycosidases).Glycobiology is essential reading for researchers in biomedicine, basic science, and the biotechnology industries. By providing a single forum, the journal aims to improve communication between glycobiologists working in different disciplines and to increase the overall visibility of the field.

Glycoconjugate Journal

ISSN: 0282-0080eISSN: 1573-4986

Glycoconjugate Journal publishes articles and reviews concerned with function, composition, structure, biosynthesis, degradation, interactions, recognition and chemo-enzymatic and synthesis of glycoconjugates; biochemistry, molecular biology, biotechnology, immunology and cell biology to glycoconjugates; aspects related to disease processes; structural and functional glycomics; glycoimmunology; glycovaccines; organic synthesis of glycoconjugates and the development of methodologies if biologically relevant; glycosylation changes in disease if focused on either the discovery of a novel disease marker or the improved understanding of some basic pathological mechanism, articles on the effects of toxicological agents on glycosylation, and the use of glycotherapeutics. Glycoconjugate Journal is the official journal of the International Glycoconjugate Organization, which organizes the biennial International Symposia on Glycoconjugates.

Gondwana Research

ISSN: 1342-937XeISSN: 1878-0571

Gondwana Research (GR) is an International Journal aimed to promote high quality research publications on all topics related to solid Earth, particularly with reference to the origin and evolution of continents, continental assemblies and their resources. GR is an "all earth science" journal with no restrictions on geological time, terrane or theme and covers a wide spectrum of topics in geosciences such as geology, geomorphology, palaeontology, structure, petrology, geochemistry, stable isotopes, geochronology, economic geology, exploration geology, engineering geology, geophysics, and environmental geology among other themes, and provides an appropriate forum to integrate studies from different disciplines and different terrains. In addition to regular articles and thematic issues, the journal invites high profile state-of-the-art reviews on thrust area topics for its column, 'GR FOCUS'. Focus articles include short biographies and photographs of the authors. Short articles (within ten printed pages) for rapid publication reporting important discoveries or innovative models of global interest will be considered under the category 'GR LETTERS'.Benefits to authorsWe also provide many author benefits, such as free PDFs, a liberal copyright policy, special discounts on Elsevier publications and much more.
