Adaptation is an international, peer-reviewed journal, offering academic articles, film and book reviews, including both book to screen adaptation, screen to book adaptation, popular and ‘classic’ adaptations, theatre and novel screen adaptations, television, animation, soundtracks, production issues and genres in literature on screen. Adaptation provides an international forum to theorise and interrogate the phenomenon of literature on screen from both a literary and film studies perspective.
he Adapted Physical Activity Quarterly (APAQ) is an international, multidisciplinary journal, designed to stimulate and communicate scholarly inquiry related to physical activity, which includes sport. Disciplines from which scholarship may originate include corrective therapy, gerontology, health care, occupational therapy, pediatrics, physical education, dance, sport medicine, physical therapy, recreation, and rehabilitation. Among populations considered are at-risk infants and preschoolers, school-age children and young adults many of whom receive special education and/or related services, the aging, and the old. Physical activity implies fine, gross, functional, and interpretive movement, viewed from a biomechanical, developmental, learning, physiological, or psychosocial perspective. The focus of the adaptation may be upon equipment, activity, facilities, methodology and/or setting.
Adaptive Behavior is a highly ranked, international peer reviewed journal that publishes original research and review articles on adaptive behavior in living organisms and autonomous artificial systems. For over 17 years it has offered ethologists, psychologists, behavioral ecologists, computer scientists, neuroscientists and robotics researchers a forum for discussing new findings and comparing insights and approaches across disciplines. The journal explores mechanisms, organizational principles, and architectures that can be expressed in computational, physical, or mathematical models related to the both the functions and dysfunctions of adaptive behavior. The journal publishes articles, reviews, short communications, target articles and commentaries addressing challenges in the cognitive and behavioral sciences and including topics such as perception and motor control, embodied cognition, learning and evolution, neural mechanisms, action selection and behavioral sequences, motivation and emotion, characterization of environments, decision making, collective and social behavior, navigation, foraging, communication and signalling.
The focus of Addiction Biology is on neuroscience contributions, which aim at advancing our understanding regarding aspects on the action of drugs of abuse and addictive processes. Papers are accepted whose content is geared towards behavioral, molecular, genetic, biochemical, neuro-biological and pharmacological fields of animal experimentation and clinical research.
