An international multi-disciplinary journal which is a joint initiative between the International Osteoporosis Foundation and the National Osteoporosis Foundation of the USA, Osteoporosis International provides a forum for the communication and exchange of current ideas concerning the diagnosis, prevention, treatment and management of osteoporosis and other metabolic bone diseases. It publishes: original papers - reporting progress and results in all areas of osteoporosis and its related fields; review articles - reflecting the present state of knowledge in special areas of summarizing limited themes in which discussion has led to clearly defined conclusions; educational articles - giving information on the progress of a topic of particular interest; case reports - of uncommon or interesting presentations of the condition. While focusing on clinical research, the Journal will also accept submissions on more basic aspects of research, where they are considered by the editors to be relevant to the human disease

The journal Paddy and Water Environment aims to advance the science and technology of water and environment-related disciplines in paddy-farming. The scope extends broadly to paddy-farming related scientific and technological aspects of agricultural engineering such as irrigation and drainage, soil and water conservation, land and water resources management, paddy multi-functionality, agricultural policy, regional planning, bioenvironmental systems, and ecological conservation and restoration in paddy farming regions.Paddy and Water Environment is the official journal of the International Society of Paddy and Water Environment Engineering (PAWEES).

Founded in 1912, the Paläontologische Zeitschrift is one of the journals with the longest tradition in the field of palaeontology to be published by a professional palaeontological society, the Paläontologische Gesellschaft. The journal is dedicated to the promotion of palaeontology as a scientific discipline and publishes high-qualitiy research and review papers on all aspects of this field.

Palaeobiodiversity and Palaeoenvironments is a peer-reviewed international journal for the publication of high-quality multidisciplinary studies in the fields of palaeobiodiversity, palaeoenvironments and palaeobiogeography. Key criteria for the acceptance of manuscripts are a global scope or implications of problems on a global scale significant not only for a single discipline, a focus on the diversity of fossil organisms and the causes and processes of change in Earth’s history. The topics covered include: Systematic studies of all fossil animal / plant groups with a special focus on palaeoenvironmental investigations, palaeoecosystems and climate changes in Earth’s history, environment-organism interaction, comparison of modern and ancient sedimentary environments, palaeoecology and palaeobiogeography.

Parasites & Vectors is an open access, peer-reviewed online journal dealing with the biology of parasites, parasitic diseases, intermediate hosts, vectors and vector-borne pathogens. Manuscripts published in this journal will be available to all worldwide, with no barriers to access, immediately following acceptance. However, authors retain the copyright of their material and may use it, or distribute it, as they wish.

Manuscripts on all aspects of the basic and applied biology of parasites, intermediate hosts, vectors and vector-borne pathogens will be considered. In addition to the traditional and well-established areas of science in these fields, we also aim to provide a vehicle for publication of the rapidly developing resources and technology in parasite, intermediate host and vector genomics and their impacts on biological research. We are able to publish large datasets and extensive results, frequently associated with genomic and post-genomic technologies, which are not readily accommodated in traditional journals. Manuscripts addressing broader issues, for example economics, social sciences and global climate change in relation to parasites, vectors and disease control, are also welcomed.

The electronic format of the journal offers interesting opportunities for authors. For example, in addition to the publication of large datasets, derived from field and laboratory studies, there is no limit to the number of color illustrations that can be included. Animations, slide shows and movie clips are acceptable, as also are links to relevant material on other websites. No additional charge will be made for these.

Particle and Fibre Toxicology is interested in receiving manuscripts which report new scientific data, hypotheses and reviews on the toxicological effects of particles and fibres. The journal functions as a forum for scientific debate and communication between toxicology and disciplines that develop (nano)particles for future applications.

Pastoral Psychology is an international interdisciplinary forum for the publication of peer-reviewed original papers that discuss the work of caring for, understanding, and exploring human beings as persons, in families, in small groups, and in community. The journal brings the best of psychological, behavioral, social, and human sciences research into critical engagement with pastoral concerns (local, institutional, societal, political, international, and other). The journal thoughtfully examines and discusses pastoral care and counseling, pastoral theology, psychology of religion, and the multidimensional interface between psychology and religion/spirituality. All theoretical perspectives are welcome, including, but not limited to, psychoanalytic and other depth psychologies, experimental and empirical psychologies, humanistic psychology, transpersonal psychology, and cultural psychology. Insights from existential perspectives, gender studies, phenomenology, sociology, anthropology, and cultural studies are welcome. Theoretical contributions that have direct or indirect relevance for practice, broadly construed, are especially desirable, as our audience includes not only academics and scholars in religion and psychology, but also religious and spiritual leaders and others, such as chaplains, social workers, counselors, clinical psychologists, and psychiatrists. Pastoral Psychology welcomes scholarship and reflection from all religious and spiritual traditions.
