TVCG is a scholarly, archival journal published monthly. Its Editorial Board strives to publish papers that present important research results and state-of-the-art seminal papers in computer graphics, visualization, and virtual reality.  Specific topics include, but are not limited to: rendering technologies; geometric modeling and processing; shape analysis; graphics hardware; animation and simulation; perception, interaction and user interfaces; haptics; computational photography; high-dynamic range imaging and display; user studies and evaluation; biomedical visualization; volume visualization and graphics; visual analytics for machine learning; topology-based visualization; visual programming and software visualization; visualization in data science; virtual reality, augmented reality and mixed reality; advanced display technology, (e.g., 3D, immersive and multi-modal displays); applications of computer graphics and visualization.

The field of biometric recognition - automated recognition of individuals based on their behavioural and biological characteristics - has reached a level of maturity where viable practical applications are both possible and increasingly available. Since the engineering of effective biometric systems requires integration of image analysis, pattern recognition, sensor technology, database engineering, security design and many other strands of understanding, the technological focus of the journal is diverse. IET Biometrics has a wide scope to account for the interdisciplinary nature of the field. While focusing on the core technological issues it also encompasses human factors, data security and database technologies, and takes into consideration the associated psychological and physiological issues. IET Biometrics includes papers that increase our understanding of biometric systems, signal future developments and applications for biometrics, and/or promote greater practical uptake for relevant technologies. Some of the topics covered include: • Development and enhancement of individual biometric modalities including established and traditional modalities (e.g. face, fingerprint, iris, signature and handwriting recognition) and also newer or emerging modalities (gait, ear-shape, and neurological patterns) • Multibiometrics, theoretical and practical issues, implementation of practical systems, multiclassifier and multimodal approaches • Soft biometrics and information fusion for identification, verification and trait prediction • Human factors and the human–computer interface issues for biometric systems, exception handling strategies • Position papers on technology or on the industrial context of biometric system development • Adoption and promotion of standards in biometrics, improving technology acceptance, deployment and interoperability, avoiding cross-cultural and cross-sector restrictions • Relevant ethical and social issues

IET Computer Vision publishes original research papers in a wide range of areas of electronic visual interpretation and recognition, including reconstruction of 3D depth information, estimation of object motion, attribute-based recognition, and high-level scene understanding. It publishes the most relevant and topical research in its field, explores new horizons, and aims to set the agenda for future research in computer vision. The IET Image Processing journal encompasses research related to the generation, processing and communication of visual information. Image and Vision Computing has as a primary aim the provision of an effective medium of interchange for the results of high quality theoretical and applied research fundamental to all aspects of image interpretation and computer vision. The journal publishes work that proposes new image interpretation and computer vision methodology or addresses the application of such methods to real world scenes. It seeks to strengthen a deeper understanding in the discipline by encouraging the quantitative comparison and performance evaluation of the proposed methodology. The coverage includes: image interpretation, scene modelling, object recognition and tracking, shape analysis, monitoring and surveillance, active vision and robotic systems, SLAM, biologically-inspired computer vision, motion analysis, stereo vision, document image understanding, character and handwritten text recognition, face and gesture recognition, biometrics, vision-based human-computer interaction, human activity and behavior understanding, data fusion from multiple sensor inputs, image databases.In addition to regular manuscripts, Image and Vision Computing Journal solicits manuscripts for the Opinions Column, aimed at initiating a free forum for vision researchers to express their opinions on past, current, or future successes and challenges in research and the community.An opinion paper should be succinct and focused on a particular topic. Addressing multiple related topics is also possible if this helps making the point. While posing questions helps raising awareness about certain issues, ideally, an opinion paper should also suggest a concrete direction how to address the issues. Information Visualization is essential reading for researchers and practitioners of information visualization and is of interest to computer scientists and data analysts working on related specialisms. This journal is an international, peer-reviewed journal publishing articles on fundamental research and applications of information visualization. The journal acts as a dedicated forum for the theories, methodologies, techniques and evaluations of information visualization and its applications.The journal is a core vehicle for developing a generic research agenda for the field by identifying and developing the unique and significant aspects of information visualization. Emphasis is placed on interdisciplinary material and on the close connection between theory and practice.

Intelligent Data Analysis provides a forum for the examination of issues related to the research and applications of Artificial Intelligence techniques in data analysis across a variety of disciplines. These techniques include (but are not limited to): all areas of data visualization, data pre-processing (fusion, editing, transformation, filtering, sampling), data engineering, database mining techniques, tools and applications, use of domain knowledge in data analysis, evolutionary algorithms, machine learning, neural nets, fuzzy logic, statistical pattern recognition, knowledge filtering, and post-processing. In particular, papers are preferred that discuss development of new AI related data analysis architectures, methodologies, and techniques and their applications to various domains.Papers published in this journal are geared heavily towards applications, with an anticipated split of 70% of the papers published being applications-oriented, research and the remaining 30% containing more theoretical research.

Biometrics and human biometric characteristics form the basis of research in biological measuring techniques for the purpose of people identification and recognition. IJBM addresses the fundamental areas in computer science that deal with biological measurements. It covers both the theoretical and practical aspects of human identification and verification.

IJCVR is an international refereed journal in the field of image processing, pattern recognition, machine vision and image understanding, providing an international forum for professionals, engineers and researchers.

NOW ACCEPTED BY ISI The International Journal for Computer Assisted Radiology and Surgery (IJCARS) is a peer-reviewed journal that provides a platform for closing the gap between medical and technical disciplines, and encourages interdisciplinary research and development activities in an international environment. The focus of the journal is on Research and Development of digital imaging methods and computer-assisted diagnostic and therapeutic workflows that match and enhance the skill levels of health care professionals. One goal of IJCARS is to provide information on new diagnostic and therapeutic processes which are facilitated by computer assisted radiology and surgery. This includes providers' experiences, patient outcomes, economic and ethical considerations, and scientific/medical validation results. It is expected that the resulting awareness by users and providers will accelerate the acceptance of CARS-supported procedures in clinical practice.

International Journal of Computer Vision (IJCV) details the science and engineering of this rapidly growing field. Regular articles present major technical advances of broad general interest. Short articles provide a fast publication path for novel research results. Survey articles offer critical reviews of the state of the art and/or tutorial presentations of pertinent topics. Announcement Starting in 2010, the International Journal of Imaging Systems and Technology will be focusing on the field of Neuroscience in a broad sense, including relevant algorithmic research and hardware and software development. Accordingly, the title will be changed to International Journal of Imaging Systems and Technology -Neuroimaging and Brain Mapping.

Cybernetics is concerned with describing complex interactions and interrelationships between systems which are omnipresent in our daily life. Machine Learning discovers fundamental functional relationships between variables and ensembles of variables in systems. The merging of the disciplines of Machine Learning and Cybernetics is aimed at the discovery of various forms of interaction between systems through diverse mechanisms of learning from data.

The International Journal of Machine Learning and Cybernetics (IJMLC) focuses on the key research problems emerging at the junction of machine learning and cybernetics and serves as a broad forum for rapid dissemination of the latest advancements in the area. The emphasis of IJMLC is on the hybrid development of machine learning and cybernetics schemes inspired by different contributing disciplines such as engineering, mathematics, cognitive sciences, and applications.
