 The Journal of Bioeconomics is devoted to creative interdisciplinary dialogues between biologists and economists. It promotes the mutual exchange of theories, methods, and data where biology can help explaining economic behavior and the nature of the human economy: and where economics is conducive to understanding the economy of nature. The Journal invites contributions relevant to the bioeconomic agenda from economic fields such as behavioral economics, biometric studies, neuroeconomics, consumer studies, ecological economics, evolutionary economics, evolutionary game theory, political economy, and ethnicity studies. From biology, the Journal welcomes contributions from, among others, evolutionary biology, systematic biology, behavioral ecology, ethology, paleobiology, and sociobiology. The scholarly discussion also covers selected topics from behavioral sciences, cognitive science, evolutionary anthropology, evolutionary psychology, epistemology, and ethics.   Officially cited as: J Bioecon  

The Journal of Biorheology, the official journal of the Japanese Society of Biorheology, is an international journal covering the science and application of the deformation and flow properties of biological materials, including food materials. The aim of the journal is to provide a peer-reviewed forum for the publication of original papers and authoritative review papers dealing with the dynamics of physiological processes at all levels of organization, from organs to the molecular level. The scope of the journal covers the basic science and its applications in the broad field of biorheology: the rheology of macromolecules, cell rheology, tissue and organ rheology, and food rheology. The Journal of Biorheology accepts original articles, brief communications, and review articles. The editors encourage the submission of biorheological analysis of pathological processes and their clinical implications, including basic clinical research on hemodynamics and hemorheology. Also highly welcome are translational clinical studies and scientific research between the fields of engineering and medicine.

Chemical Biology is a novel interdisciplinary subject that is still evolving. Interpreting chemical biology as widely as possible, the 'Journal of Chemical Biology' (JOCB) will be open towards the whole spectrum of physical sciences research if it is applied to foster biomedical research. This will include innovative theoretical and experimental approaches and tools being applied to elucidate biological problems. Chemical Biology is not a synonym for Biological chemistry/Biochemistry, the latter being served by a plethora of life sciences journals, where well-established tools and techniques drawn from the physical sciences are employed to produce innovative biological research. The main acceptance criteria are therefore: the novelty/innovation in the physical sciences part of the presented interdisciplinary research and/or its application in biological research. Manuscripts are expected to convey their research in a fashion that allows both research communities to appreciate its significance and achievements. Thus, experts drawn from the life as well as the physical sciences background referee all manuscripts. The journal is keen to attract articles on novel innovations and discoveries in the physical sciences that can be applied in the cellular environment (in vivo). Important discoveries that have not yet reached the necessary proof for their biological relevance will be presented as short communications. Reviews and opinion papers as well as articles and short communications that present original multidisciplinary research with a clear applicability towards the life sciences are welcome. JOCB also invites to submit these research advances of interesting tools and technology developmentsthat are not yet applicable towards biological problems as 'notes'. Being an interdisciplinary journal we would like to encourage reviews on interdisciplinary subjects from authors affiliated with both disciplines as well as investigators affiliated in one disc, ipline with the desire to become engaged in this new interdisciplinary research area. The 'Journal of Chemical Biology' endeavors to create a platform for multidisciplinary physical scientists to publish their achievements, retrieve information, and exchange ideas, opinions and thoughts with the biomedical research community. The latter is addressed in the 'Journal of Chemical Biology Bulletin', which is published with each issue and will contain information that is relevant for the chemical biology research community. This includes book reviews, meeting reports and announcements as well as information on chemical biology studies and education. The Journal of Coal Science and Engineering (China) is a comprehensive academic journal sponsored by the China Coal Society and organized by the China Coal Research Institute. It is the leading journal in China to report on the achievements of science and technology in the coal industry. The Journal of Control Theory and Applications publishes high-quality papers on original, theoretical and experimental research and development in the area of systems and control, including all aspects of control theory and its applications. Its function is to provide a forum for domestic, as well as international, scientists and engineers in this field to exchange their knowledge and experiences. Articles for submission may be survey papers, or reviews on well established or newly emerging research topics, techniques, etc.: or regular papers which describe new well developed theoretical results or applications: or brief papers which present new techniques, concepts, perspectives, etc.

The Journal of Electronic Materials (JEM) reports monthly on the science and technology of electronic materials, while examining new applications for semiconductors, magnetic alloys, dielectrics, nanoscale materials, and photonic materials. The journal welcomes articles on methods for preparing and evaluating the chemical, physical, electronic, and optical properties of these materials. Specific areas of interest are materials for state-of-the-art transistors, nanotechnology, electronic packaging, detectors, emitters, metallization, superconductivity, and energy applications.

Review papers on current topics enable individuals in the field of electronics to keep abreast of activities in areas peripheral to their own. JEM also selects papers from conferences such as the Electronic Materials Conference, the U.S. Workshop on the Physics and Chemistry of II-VI Materials, and the International Conference on Thermoelectrics. It benefits both specialists and non-specialists in the electronic materials field.
