Welcome to the Journal Guide

If you are a researcher from Lancaster University you can search for your favourite journals or filter to get to a selection of journals that match your research topic. Select a funder to see whether the journals are compliant. Check the filter ‘Journals with Agreements’ to limit the list to journals for which the APCs are fully waived (i.e. included in our Read and Publish agreements) or discounted. If a cost is shown then click ‘Check & Apply’ to see if the Open Access team can cover costs.

Plant, Cell and Environment

ISSN: 0140-7791eISSN: 1365-3040

Publishing only the best work, Plant, Cell & Environment publishes original research, either theoretical or experimental, that provides novel insights into the ways that plants respond to their environment. Thus the journal covers plant biochemistry, molecular biology, biophysics, cell physiology, whole plant physiology, crop physiology and physiological ecology, together with structural, genetic, pathological and meteorological aspects as related to plant function. Work at any scale, from the molecular to the community level, is welcomed. Author Benefits Ease of submission Submit your manuscript electronically through our simple online submission process No page charges Colour reproduction has become a vital part of data presentation in many areas of plant science, but remains costly in spite of new printing technologies. To aid authors in the presentation of colour images, we have decided to allow one colour figure free of charge. The colour must be essential to the presentation of the information, and decisions on this will be taken by the editors. Additional colour figures will be charged at the standard rate. A colour work agreement form, which details cost, must be included with all manuscripts containing colour and can be downloaded here. Rapid Publication By improving schedules and increasing the efficiency of operations, we are now able to publish papers Early View within an average of one month from the date of final acceptance, subject to the prompt return of proof corrections.

Plasma Chemistry and Plasma Processing

ISSN: 0272-4324eISSN: 1572-8986

Plasma Chemistry and Plasma Processing is an international journal that provides a forum for the publication of original papers on fundamental research and new developments in plasma chemistry and plasma processing. The journal encompasses all types of industrial processing plasmas, ranging from nonthermal plasmas to thermal plasmas, and publishes fundamental plasma studies as well as studies of specific plasma applications. Application contexts of interest include plasma etching in microelectronics and other fields, deposition of thin films and coatings, powder synthesis, environmental processing, lighting, surface modification and others. Includes studies of chemical kinetics in plasmas, and the interactions of plasmas with surfaces.

Plasma Physics Reports

ISSN: 1063-780XeISSN: 1562-6938

Plasma Physics Reports (Fizika Plasmy) was founded in 1975 in order to publish papers on a comparatively young and extremely fruitful branch of modern science - plasma physics. The journal covers the following topics: high-temperature plasma physics related to the problem of controlled nuclear fusion based on magnetic and inertial confinement; physics of cosmic plasma, including magnetosphere plasma, sun and stellar plasma, etc.; gas discharge plasma and plasma generated by laser and particle beams. The journal also publishes papers on such related topics as plasma electronics, generation of radiation in plasma, and plasma diagnostics. As well as other original communications, the journal publishes topical reviews and conference proceedings.

Plasma Physics and Controlled Fusion

ISSN: 0741-3335eISSN: 1361-6587

Plasma Physics and Controlled Fusion covers all aspects of the physics of hot, highly ionised plasmas. This includes results of current experimental and theoretical research on all aspects of the physics of high-temperature plasmas and of controlled nuclear fusion, including the basic phenomena in highly-ionised gases in the laboratory, in the ionosphere and in space, in magnetic-confinement and inertial-confinement fusion as well as related diagnostic methods.Papers with a technological emphasis, for example in such topics as plasma control, fusion technology and diagnostics, are welcomed when the plasma physics is an integral part of the paper or when the technology is unique to plasma applications or new to the field of plasma physics. The editorial policy is to maintain the quality of published papers at the highest level by strict peer review. Prompt publication of authors'' papers is also of prime concern and the journal is accessible in electronic form.

Plasma Sources Science and Technology

ISSN: 0963-0252eISSN: 1361-6595

Plasma Sources Science and Technology (PSST) reports on low-temperature plasmas and ionized gases operating over all ranges of gas pressure and plasma density, with varying degrees of ionization. The emphasis of PSST is on the fundamental science of these plasmas, their sources and the processes initiated or sustained by them, as elucidated through theoretical, computational or experimental techniques. Reports that relate to the technology and applications of these plasmas should be closely linked to the science and fundamental processes occurring in the plasma state.
