Welcome to the Journal Guide

If you are a researcher from Lancaster University you can search for your favourite journals or filter to get to a selection of journals that match your research topic. Select a funder to see whether the journals are compliant. Check the filter ‘Journals with Agreements’ to limit the list to journals for which the APCs are fully waived (i.e. included in our Read and Publish agreements) or discounted. If a cost is shown then click ‘Check & Apply’ to see if the Open Access team can cover costs.

The Pakistan Veterinary Journal (PVJ) is a quarterly publication and is being published regularly since 1981 by the Faculty of Veterinary Science, University of Agriculture, Faisalabad, Pakistan. This is the only scientific peer reviewed journal in Veterinary Sciences in Pakistan. Original research papers, review, extension and clinical articles on the production and diseases of animals, including studies in comparative medicine, are published in this journal. Moreover, professional news and information of interest to the veterinarians and allied professionals working in veterinary hospitals, livestock and poultry farms, research and teaching institutions, animal feed and pharmaceutical industry are also included in PVJ. The journal is also read, abstracted and indexed internationally.

Palaeobiodiversity and Palaeoenvironments

ISSN: 1867-1594eISSN: 1867-1608

Palaeobiodiversity and Palaeoenvironments is a peer-reviewed international journal for the publication of high-quality multidisciplinary studies in the fields of palaeobiodiversity, palaeoenvironments and palaeobiogeography. Key criteria for the acceptance of manuscripts are a global scope or implications of problems on a global scale significant not only for a single discipline, a focus on the diversity of fossil organisms and the causes and processes of change in Earth’s history. The topics covered include: Systematic studies of all fossil animal / plant groups with a special focus on palaeoenvironmental investigations, palaeoecosystems and climate changes in Earth’s history, environment-organism interaction, comparison of modern and ancient sedimentary environments, palaeoecology and palaeobiogeography.

Palaeogeography, Palaeoclimatology, Palaeoecology

ISSN: 0031-0182eISSN: 1872-616X

Palaeogeography, Palaeoclimatology, Palaeoecology is an international medium for the publication of high quality and multidisciplinary, original studies and comprehensive reviews in the field of palaeo-environmental geology. The journal aims at bringing together data with global implications from research in the many different disciplines involved in palaeo-environmental investigations.By cutting across the boundaries of established sciences, it provides an interdisciplinary forum where issues of general interest can be discussed.Benefits to authorsWe also provide many author benefits, such as free PDFs, a liberal copyright policy, special discounts on Elsevier publications and much more. Palaeontographica: Abteilung A

ISSN: 0375-0442eISSN: 2509-8373

Palaeontographica publishes peer reviewed contributions to paleozoology and paleobotany. Founded in 1846, it is one of the oldest scholarly journals in paleobiology. Its editors include a large number of landmark paleontologists (see history). Its claim to fame were and still arelarge format, high quality plates and careful descriptions and interpretations of source materials of paleontological research. From 1846 to 1933 paleozoological and paleobotanical papers were published side by side journal. In 1933, the paleobotanical papers were branched off into a separate journal, Palaeontographica Abt. B. The title of the paleozoology part of Paleontographica was correspondingly renamed to Palaeontographica Abt. A (Paleozoology) at the same time.

Palaeontographica publishes original monographic contributions of paleozoological contents of less than 80 printed pages. Its claim to fame is the large format and very high quality plates. Palaeontograpica is thematically subdivided in two Abteilungen (sections): Abteilung A publishes papers on paleozoological and stratigraphic problems while papers published in Abteilung B deal with paleophytological (paleobotanical) problems and their application to stratigraphy.

PaleoAmerica

ISSN: 2055-5563eISSN: 2055-5571

PaleoAmerica disseminates new research results and ideas about early human dispersal and migrations, with a particular focus on the Americas. It fosters an interdisciplinary dialog between archaeologists, geneticists and other scientists investigating the dispersal of modern humans during the late Pleistocene.

The journal has three goals: First and foremost, the journal is a vehicle for the presentation of new research results. Second, it includes editorials on special topics written by leaders in the field. Third, the journal solicits essays covering current debates in the field, the state of research in relevant disciplines, and summaries of new research findings in a particular region, for example Beringia, the Eastern Seaboard or the Southern Cone of South America. Although the journal’s focus is the peopling of the Americas, editorials and research essays also highlight the investigation of early human colonization of empty lands in other areas of the world. As techniques are developing so rapidly, work in other regions can be very relevant to the Americas, so the journal will publish research relating to other regions which has relevance to research on the Americas.
