Founded in 1932, the journal Mikrobiologiya (Microbiology) covers a wide range of problems in the areas of fundamental and applied microbiology. The journal publishes experimental and theoretical papers, reviews of trends in a range of fields of microbiological science, and short communications describing unusual observations. Particular attention is devoted to events in Russian and international science. The journal also publishes reviews of new books. While intended primarily for specialists at research institutes, Mikrobiologiya represents a valuable source of essential information for university research departments, industrial, agricultural, and environmental-control laboratories, and medical departments.

Microbiology Resource Announcements® (MRA) is an online-only, fully open-access journal that publishes articles announcing the availability of any microbiological resource deposited in a repository available to the community. In addition to genome sequences of prokaryotic and eukaryotic microbes and viruses in public databases, as published in Genome Announcements, MRA will consider metagenomics sequences, amplicon sequence collections, metabolomics data, proteome data, culture collections, mutant libraries, plasmids and other genetic constructs, publicly available databases and software, and protocols and workflows. Manuscripts submitted to MRA will be peer reviewed for appropriate content and handled by a board of Senior Editors who will accept manuscripts at their discretion.

Microbiology Spectrum® (Spectrum) is an online-only, fully open-access journal that publishes research from all domains of basic, applied, and clinical microbial sciences. Rather than making subjective evaluations of potential impact, Microbiology Spectrum publishes research studies that are of high technical quality and are useful to the community. All decisions are made by an international and diverse editorial board that fully represents the microbiology research community. The central purpose of Microbiome is to unite investigators conducting microbiome research in environmental, agricultural, and biomedical arenas.Topics broadly addressing the study of microbial communities, such as, microbial surveys, bioinformatics, meta-omics approaches and community/host interaction modeling will be considered for publication. Through this collection of literature Microbiome hopes to integrate researchers with common scientific objectives across a broad cross-section of sub-disciplines within microbial ecology.

Microbiota Medicine Research seeks submissions of original research, reviews, guidelines, case reports, and perspectives that cover areas of interest relating to microbiota medicine for improving patient care, clinical practice and education. A rapid review service is offered for papers that impact microbe or microbiome-based medical practice, health policy changing and education, including but not limited to therapies based on microbiota transplantation, probiotics, bacteriophages, engineered bacteria, oncolytic viruses, oncolytic bacteria, prebiotics, microbial metabolism, antibiotics, etc., and diagnostics utilizing microbes, microbial communities, and related approaches.

The Microchemical Journal is a peer reviewed journal devoted to all aspects and phases of analytical chemistry and chemical analysis. The Microchemical Journal publishes articles which are at the forefront of modern analytical chemistry and cover innovations in the techniques to the finest possible limits. This includes fundamental aspects, instrumentation, new developments, innovative and novel methods and applications including environmental and clinical field.Traditional classical analytical methods such as spectrophotometry and titrimetry as well as established instrumentation methods such as flame and graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometry, gas chromatography, and modified glassy or carbon electrode electrochemical methods will be considered, provided they show significant improvements and novelty compared to the established methods.The journal does not consider routine analytical method development in such areas as pharmaceutical samples, chromatography, minor incremental changes such as sample preparation and pre-concentration for electrochemical, chromatography and spectrochemical methods. Methods considered will not be waters or situations where the methods cannot determine the molecules or metals of interest in real samples and depends on spikes, or simply using standard chemometric methods. Fragmentation of work is strongly discouraged.The journal was established in the late 1950's as a journal devoted to the rapidly developing field of microchemistry. As the area of microchemistry has evolved into analyses in microgram masses and microvolumes (and lower), lower detection limits, and more sophisticated and compact instrumentation, the Microchemical Journal has continued to evolve and change with this growing and expanding area, covering now analytical chemical research in its broadest sense. The journal has published numerous special issues devoted to topics and well as selected conferences. The journal also considers original reviews.

Microchimica Acta (MCA) has established itself as a premier forum for research results in modern (bio)analytical sciences based on the use of micro/nano-structured materials. Coverage includes fundamental studies on, practical applications of, and new approaches towards micro-/nanomaterials such as micro- and nanoparticles, imprints, micro/nanodroplets, or micro/nanostructured devices for use in (bio)analytical applications including sensing and preconcentration.
