Mediterranean Historical Review encourages the study of issues whose significance transcends a particular area or period. It integrates various problems in the ancient, medieval, early modern and contemporary history of the Mediterranean basin. The Mediterranean Journal of Mathematics (MedJM) is a publication issued by the Department of Mathematics of the University of Bari. The new journal replaces the Conferenze del Seminario di Matematica dell’Università di Bari which has been in publication from 1954 until 2003. The Mediterranean Journal of Mathematics aims to publish original and high-quality peer-reviewed papers containing significant results across all fields of mathematics. Furthermore it intends to offer mathematicians from the Mediterranean countries a particular opportunity to circulate the results of their researches in a common journal.Through such a new cultural and scientific stimulus the journal aims to contribute to further integration amongst Mediterranean universities, though it is open to contribution from mathematicians across the world.

In recent years the Mediterranean has emerged not only as a region of intertwined populations, economies and politics, but also of shared basic foods and dietetic patterns, which have been shown to improve life expectancy and reduce cancer incidence. Meanwhile, pharmaconutrition is spreading in all the clinical fields and new clinical trials have been designed concerning antioxidants, nutrients and non-nutrients derived from vegetables (mainly but not only from the Mediterranean area) that could have a role in the complementary therapy of chronic diseases and cancer. Based on these premises, the Mediterranean Journal of Nutrition and Metabolism aims to publish original scientific papers (reviews, articles and case reports) on metabolism (diabesity and eating disorders), nutrition (epidemiological, basic, clinical and artificial), dietary and nutritional practices and management, and their impact on health from prevention to treatment. In accordance with the usual policy, the journal will also host the proceedings of relevant congresses and shorter notices focused on the original character of the Mediterranean nutritional civilisation. In addition, this journal is intended as a platform of scientific debate and knowledge-sharing among students and clinical practitioners, and between them and the broader scientific community, and last but not least as a tool for promoting and enhancing scientific cooperation.

The Mediterranean Marine Science Journal is published semi-annually by the Hellenic Centre for Marine Research (HCMR), replacing the previous journal entitled "Thalassographica". The Journal welcomes original articles, short notes and extended reviews in all fields of Oceanography (physical Oceanography, operational Oceanography, Chemistry, Biology, Geology and Geophysics), Limnology, Fisheries and Aquaculture in the Mediterranean area and the adjacent regions.

Mediterranean Politics is the only refereed academic journal to focus on the politics, international relations and political economy of the entire Mediterranean area - 'Mediterranean' here being understood to refer to all those countries whose borders are defined partially or wholly by the Mediterranean Sea. This focus involves consideration not only of the region itself, but also the significance of developments there for other parts of the world. The journal analyses the central issues that concern Mediterranean countries and assesses both local and international responses to them. While its prime concern is with political developments, the focus of Mediterranean Politics extends to all the factors and dimensions affecting political life. These include social movements and issues, regional and domestic conflicts, the political economy of the Mediterranean, migration, political reform processes and issues of cultural identity. The journal does not accept articles on historical subjects that lack direct contemporary linkage, or general economics articles with a Mediterranean context. Since its inception, the journal has given extensive attention to the expanding relationships between Europe and its southern neighbours, including the Euro-Mediterranean Partnership, European Neighbourhood Policy and Union for the Mediterranean. Equally, we welcome contributions on interactions between the Mediterranean and other parts of the world. The articles are based on original research, some focused on individual states, others on relationships between them, the role of multilateral organizations in the area or issues that are relevant to the area or sub-areas as a whole or to several countries studied comparatively. Besides research articles, the journal publishes a regular Profile section devoted to briefer analysis of recent events or developments, and a substantial book review section, usually containing a review article. While some issues are general ones with varied contents, others are special collections. Mediterranean Studies focuses on the Mediterranean world over a broad chronological spanfrom Late Antiquity to the Enlightenment. The journals interdisciplinary approach includes work on the arts, religions, cultures, histories, and literatures of the Mediterranean world. Contributors come from a wide range of backgrounds, including archeology, English, Jewish studies, history, comparative literature, medieval studies, religion, and art history. Such varied and rich contributions make for vibrant conversations across several disciplines.
