This peer-reviewed open access journal, which is published under the brand SpringerOpen is an international journal focused on multi-disciplinary applied research on active volcanism and its societal impacts. Covers risk management, preparedness and recovery and more.
JAWER’s paradigm-changing (online only) articles provide directly applicable solutions to water engineering problems within the whole hydrosphere (rivers, lakes groundwater, estuaries, coastal and marine waters) covering areas such as:
Particular emphasis is given to reproducible, innovative methods specifically showcasing studies on interfacing technology-based engineering solutions within the hydro-environment and its ecological values and services which are applicable to a global audience.
Peer Review
All submitted manuscripts are subject to initial appraisal by the Editors, and, if found suitable for further consideration, to peer review by independent, anonymous expert referees. All peer review is single blind and submission is online via ScholarOne Manuscripts.
Manuscript Types Accepted
The Journal publishes selected articles from Sibirskii Zhurnal Industrial’noi Matematiki and Diskretnyi Analiz i Issledovanie Operatsii on mathematical research in natural sciences, technology, ecology, medicine, and economics. The publications are devoted to the qualitative theory of differential equations, mathematical simulation in mechanics, technical physics, chemistry, biology, economics, discrete mathematics, mathematical research in the mechanics of solids, mechanics of fluids and gases, mechanics of inhomogeneous media, filtering, management, and informatics theory, problems of discrete optimization and graph theory, development and analysis of algorithms, synthesis and complexity of control systems, coding and automata theory, decision analysis and theoretical scheduling problems, game theory and applications. Mathematical chemistry, biology, and medicine are also well presented in the Journal.
Zeitschrift der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Geowissenschaften (ZDGG) is an international peer reviewed journal that accepts papers on research and applied topics in the Earth Sciences. It is published online and in print. One volume, consisting of four issues is published annually. The journal is continously published by German Society of Geosciences (DGG) since its foundation in 1848. It was relaunched in 2005.ZDGG invites the submission of English, German and French language papers from all fields of geology, hydrogeology, paleontology, tectonics, sedimentology, engineering geology and of course environmental geology to name a few. The editors of ZDGG also invite suggestions for thematic issues.Manuscripts submitted for publication should advance our understanding of fundamental geological, hydrogeological, tectonic and sedimentological processes or conditions or deal with novel approaches to applied problems. All manuscripts are subject to peer review.
The Journal of Approximation Theory is devoted to advances in pure and applied approximation theory and related areas. These areas include, among others:• Classical approximation• Abstract approximation• Constructive approximation• Degree of approximation• Fourier expansions• Interpolation of operators• General orthogonal systems• Interpolation and quadratures• Multivariate approximation• Orthogonal polynomials• Padé approximation• Rational approximation• Spline functions of one and several variables• Approximation by radial basis functions in Euclidean spaces, on spheres, and on more general manifolds• Special functions with strong connections to classical harmonic analysis, orthogonal polynomial, and approximation theory (as opposed to combinatorics, number theory, representation theory, generating functions, formal theory, and so forth)• Approximation theoretic aspects of real or complex function theory, function theory, difference or differential equations, function spaces, or harmonic analysis• Wavelet Theory and its applications in signal and image processing, and in differential equations with special emphasis on connections between wavelet theory and elements of approximation theory (such as approximation orders, Besov and Sobolev spaces, and so forth)• Gabor (Weyl-Heisenberg) expansions and sampling theory
Published under the guidance of the American Fisheries Society's Fish Health Section, the Journal of Aquatic Animal Health serves the international community of scientists and culturists concerned with the health of aquatic organisms. It carries research papers on the causes, effects, treatments, and prevention of diseases of marine and freshwater organisms, particularly fish and shellfish. In addition, it contains papers that describe biochemical and physiological investigations into fish health that relate to assessing the impacts of both environmental and pathogenic features.
The Journal of Aquatic Food Product Technology publishes research papers, short communications, and review articles concerning the application of science and technology to all aspects of research, development, production, and distribution of food products originating from the marine and freshwater bodies of the world. The journal features articles on various aspects of basic and applied science in topics related to: • harvesting and handling practices • processing with traditional and new technologies • refrigeration and storage • packaging and storage • distribution • safety and traceability • byproduct utilization The journal also covers basic studies of aquatic products as related to food chemistry, microbiology, and engineering; all flora and fauna from aquatic environs, including seaweeds and underutilized species used directly for human consumption or alternative uses such as animal feed and nonfood applications. Special features in the journal include guest editorials by specialists in their fields and book reviews covering a wide range of topics. Publication office: Taylor & Francis, Inc., 325 Chestnut Street, Suite 800, Philadelphia, PA 19106.
The journal also publishes book reviews on the same subjects and asks publishers to send their books to the relevant book review editors. Please see the Instructions for Authors tab for details.

Since its inception in 1970 the Journal of Arabic Literature has provided an international scholarly forum for the discussion of Arabic literature and has secured its position at the forefront of critical and methodological debate. The journal publishes literary, critical and historical studies, as well as review and bibliographies, on a broad range of Arabic materials n~ classical and modern, written and oral, poetry and prose, literary and colloquial. Studies that seek to integrate Arabic literature into the broader discourses of the humanities and social sciences take their place alongside technical work of a more specialized nature. The journal thus addresses itself to a readership in comparative literature and literary theory and method, in addition to specialists in Arabic and Middle Eastern literatures and Middle East studies generally.
