Australia Technology Park, Sydney - 22 till 27 June 2014The Journal of Applied Phycology publishes work in the rapidly expanding field of the commercial use of algae.Coverage includes fundamental research and development of techniques and practical applications in such areas as algal and cyanobacterial biotechnology and genetic engineering, tissues culture, culture collections, commercially useful micro-algae and their products, mariculture, algalization and soil fertility, pollution and fouling, monitoring, toxicity tests, toxic compounds, antibiotics and other biologically active compounds.Each issue of the Journal also includes a short section for brief notes and general information on new products, patents and company news.

Journal of Applied Physics is the American Institute of Physics' (AIP) archival journal for significant new results in applied physics; content is published online daily, collected into two online and printed issues per month (24 issues per year). The journal publishes articles that emphasize understanding of the physics underlying modern technology, but distinguished from technology on the one side and pure physics on the other. Applied Physics Reviews is a series of occasional review articles on topics within this scope. The Proceedings of the Conference on Magnetism and Magnetic Materials is an annual feature.

The Journal of Applied Physiology publishes original papers that deal with diverse areas of research in applied physiology, especially those papers emphasizing adaptive and integrative mechanisms. Adaptive physiology includes 1) inherent adaptations such as those related to development, aging, and pathophysiological conditions and 2) adaptations to the external environment such as those occurring with exercise, microgravity, hypoxia, hypo- and hyperbaria, and hypo- and hyperthermic conditions. Integrative physiology includes 1) horizontal integration across organ systems and 2) vertical integration from molecule to cell to organ. In all areas of applied physiology, the use of cutting-edge techniques including molecular and cellular biology is strongly encouraged.The wide scientific span of the Journal rests on physiology as its keystone. However, the boundaries of physiology have enlarged as demarcations between concepts and techniques in the physiological, pharmacological, and biochemical sciences become increasingly blurred. Moreover, theoretical articles on research at any level of biological organization ranging from molecules to humans fall within the broad scope of the Journal. Papers dealing with topics in other basic sciences that impinge on physiology are also welcome.

The Journal of Applied Polymer Science reports progress and significant results in the systematic, practical application of polymer science. Areas of focus include plastics and their composites, blends, elastomers, films and membranes, fibers, coatings and adhesives, studies of emulsions and latices, aging of polymers, structural property-processing relationships, extrusion and molding, diffusion, and permeability.

The Journal of Applied Poultry Research (JAPR) provides practical, reliable, and timely information to those whose livelihood is derived from the commercial production of poultry and those whose research benefits this sector. This journal addresses topics of near-term application based on studies and criticial observations, encourages scientific approaches to practical problem solving, and presents information that is comprehensible to a broad readership. JAPR publishes original research reports, field reports, and reviews on breeding, hatching, health and disease, layer management, meat bird processing and products, meat bird management, microbiology, food safety, nutrition, environment, sanitation, welfare and economics.

The Journal of Applied Psychology® emphasizes the publication of original investigations that contribute new knowledge and understanding to fields of applied psychology (other than clinical and applied experimental or human factors, which are more appropriate for other American Psychological Association journals). The journal primarily considers empirical and theoretical investigations that enhance understanding of cognitive, motivational, affective, and behavioral psychological phenomena.
