Iranian Journal of Public Health has been continuously published since 1971, as the only Journal in all health domains, with wide distribution (including WHO in Geneva and Cairo) in two languages (English and Persian). From 2001 issue, the Journal is published only in English language. During the last 41 years more than 2000 scientific research papers, results of health activities, surveys and services, have been published in this Journal. To meet the increasing demand of respected researchers, as of January 2012, the Journal is published monthly. I wish this will assist to promote the level of global knowledge. The main topics that the Journal would welcome are: Bioethics, Disaster and Health, Entomology, Epidemiology, Health and Environment, Health Economics, Health Services, Immunology, Medical Genetics, Mental Health, Microbiology, Nutrition and Food Safety, Occupational Health, Oral Health We would be very delighted to receive your Original papers, Review Articles, Short communications, Case reports and Scientific Letters to the Editor on the above mentioned research areas.
Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS) publishes 44 scientific journals in various areas of science.Most of these journals are abstracted and indexed in famous international databases. Some of these are published in English and some in Farsi language with English abstract.
The main part of each issue will be devoted to original research papers which should present new results of interest in the field of Fertility and infertility, ethical and social issues of assisted reproductive technologies, cellular and molecular biology of reproduction, including the development of gametes and early embryos, assisted reproductive technologies in model system and in a clinical environment, reproductive endocrinology, andrology, epidemiology, pathology, genetics, oncology, surgery, psychology and physiology. Emerging topics including cloning, the biology of embryonic stem cells are encouraged. The IJRM will also consider review, case report, short communication and letter to editor.
The aim of the Iranian Journal of Science and Technology is to foster the growth of scientific research among Iranian engineers and scientists and to provide a medium by means of which the fruits of these researches may be brought to the attention of the world's scientific communities.
The initial nucleus of Shiraz University was formed in 1946 with the establishment of the junior College of Health which aimed at training specialists in the Medical Sciences during a four year program. In 1949 this was transformed to a Medical College and shortly thereafter in 1953 the Namazi School of Nursing and in 1955 the Colleges of Agriculture and Arts and Sciences were established. Shiraz University which, prior to the Islamic Revolution, was called Pahlavi University was founded in 1954 with the addition of the College of Engineering and College of Veterinary Medicine. Other units that were subsequently added were the Dental School in 1969, the Graduate School and the Junior College of Electronics in 1969, and the Colleges of Law and Education in 1977.
