GENUS - Journal of Population Sciences - is an open access peer-reviewed journal published by Springer on behalf of the Sapienza University of Rome. Founded in 1934 by Corrado Gini, GENUS has adopted an interdisciplinary approach to population studies. It has an interdisciplinary focus by publishing articles of “pure” demography and articles aiming to further a better knowledge of the interrelationship between demography and biological, social and economic phenomena, connected with the evolution of the population. These have spanned not only pure demography but also anthropology and anthropometric, sociology and psychology, biology and genetics. In keeping with the times -and particularly from 1965 under Nora Federici, and from 1993 under Antonio Golini as directors – an increasing number of articles have been published on general population theories, population dynamics and mathematical demography. GENUS has always tried to promote open dialogue across cultural, ideological and at times theoretical walls in the attempt to understand the complexities underlying population issues.

Geo-Bio Interfaces is an official journal of the Mineralogical Society. It aims to answer fundamental and emerging questions in geoscience and bioscience, by exploring contemporary scientific disciplines and the interconnection between them.
The journal covers four primary spheres of academic interest that intersect with the geo- and biosciences: biological (including but not limited to microbial systems), environmental, geochemical (organic and inorganic), and energy and resources. Original submissions describing fundamental, theoretical, experimental, or applied interdisciplinary studies pertaining to any spatial or temporal scale are considered for publication. Geo-Bio Interfaces is a Gold Open Access journal, publishing research articles, reviews, and rapid communications. By rapidly disseminating high-quality, broadly relevant scientific results, the journal furthers the course of modern geoscience and accomplishes the purpose of the Mineralogical Society.

Geo-Marine Letters is an international peer-reviewed journal which offers rapid publication of concise original studies and reviews dealing with processes, products and techniques in marine geology, geophysics, and geochemistry. Coverage spans structural geology, including plate tectonics of recent active and passive margins; sea-bed morphology, physiography and morphodynamics; sediment transport, depositional processes and sedimentary facies analysis; stratigraphy, basin analysis and paleo-environmental reconstruction; sea-level history, paleoproductivity, gas hydrates, salt domes and brines; sediment-water interaction and organism-sediment relationships; geochemical tracers, stable isotopes and authigenic mineral formation; geotechnical properties and application of new geo-marine techniques, and more. In addition to regular articles and review articles, Geo-Marine Letters welcomes contributions by guest editors in the form of conference/workshop proceedings, or bundles of papers dealing with specific theme

Geo-spatial Information Science seeks to publish original research papers in surveying and mapping subjects, and related areas such as: GIS, GPS, RS, cartography, geodynamic modeling, geo-surveying, photogrammetry, graphics, physical geo-surveying, engineering surveying, and mapping apparatus. The journal aims to disseminate its original research material throughout China and the international scientific community.

GeoHealth is a transdisciplinary, Gold Open Access journal publishing high-quality original research articles and commentaries across the intersections of the Earth and environmental sciences and health sciences.

GeoHorizons is a new open science book series published jointly by the American Geophysical Union and the Geological Society of London. All aspects of book publishing are handled by the Geological Society Publishing House.

Contemporary Earth studies require more and more sophisticated computing tools, and computer processing of Earth observations through Geographic Information Systems (GIS) currently attracts a great deal of attention from governmental, industrial and research worlds.The journal covers spatial modeling and databases; human-computer interfaces for GIS; digital cartography; space imagery; parallelism, distribution and communication through GIS; spatio-temporal reasoning and more. GeoInformatica presents the most innovative research results in the application of computer science applied to geographic information systems.

Aims & ScopeGeoJournal is an international journal devoted to all branches of spatially integrated social sciences and humanities. This long standing journal is committed to publishing cutting-edge, innovative, original and timely research from around the world and across the whole spectrum of social sciences and humanities that have an explicit geographical/spatial component, in particular in GeoJournal’s six major areas:- Economic and Development Geography- Social and Political Geography- Cultural and Historical Geography- Health and Medical Geography- Environmental Geography and Sustainable Development - Legal/Ethical Geography and Policy

In addition to research papers GeoJournal publishes reviews as well as shorter articles in the form of research notes, commentaries, and reports. Submissions should demonstrate original and substantive contributions to social science and humanities from a geographical perspective. Submissions on emerging new fields such as GeoEthics, Neogeography, Digital Humanities and other emerging topics are also welcome.

GeoJournal’s focus makes the journal essential reading for human geographers working in these areas, as well as for researchers from other disciplines, such as sociology, economics, political science, demography, environmental studies, urban planning, history, and cultural studies.

GeoJournal is published bi-monthly in February, April, June, August, October and December.
