Forensic Science Policy & Management is dedicated to improving the effectiveness, efficiency, quality, and operations of forensic science laboratories as well as to the education and training of forensic scientists. In addition, the journal explores the government and institutional policies that affect the practice and management of forensic science.

Articles in the journal will focus on the business of forensic science laboratories, including but not limited to
• Best practices in forensic science and management;
• Policy critiques and recommendations;
• Education and training of scientists and other laboratory staff;
• The economics of forensic science practice;
• Quality control/quality assurance;
• Staffing and other human resource issues;
• Process and efficiency improvements;
• Budgeting and other management issues facing laboratory supervisors;
• Ethical issues;
• The intersection of law and forensic science;

Original research articles, case reviews, position papers, editorials or commentary, book reviews, and letters to the editors are welcome.

Forensic Science Policy & Management: An International Journal does not focus on the science of forensic science, but rather on how scientists, managers, and policy makers practice and use that science. The journal will provide a vital dialogue for exploring both current practice in forensic science and methods for improving and advancing the field so that it can meet rapidly increasing public needs and expectations.

Authors and readers will include scientists, practitioners, laboratory supervisors/directors, and policymakers in academia, government, and forensic science laboratories around the globe.

All submitted manuscripts are subject to initial appraisal by the Editor, and, if found suitable for further consideration, to peer review by independent, anonymous expert referees. All peer review is single blind and submission is online via ScholarOne Manuscripts.

Forensic Science, Medicine and Pathology explores all aspects of modern day forensics, applying equally to children or adults, either living or the deceased. The journal Forensic Toxicology provides an international forum for publication of studies on toxic substances, drugs of abuse, doping agents, chemical warfare agents, and their metabolisms and analyses, which are related to laws and ethics. It includes original articles, reviews, mini-reviews, short communications, and case reports. Although a major focus of the journal is on the development or improvement of analytical methods for the above-mentioned chemicals in human matrices, appropriate studies with animal experiments are also published.Forensic Toxicology is the official publication of the Japanese Association of Forensic Toxicology (JAFT) and is the continuation of the Japanese Journal of Forensic Toxicology (ISSN 0915-9606).This publication is supported in part by a Grant-in-Aid for Publication of Scientific Research Results from the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science.

Die Forensische Psychiatrie, Psychologie, Kriminologie versteht sich als Forum für die wissenschaftliche Erörterung der Ursachen und Folgen von Straffälligkeit. Foresight is an international bi-monthly journal concerned with the study of the future.

Forest Ecology and Management publishes scientific articles that link forest ecology with forest management, and that apply biological and ecological knowledge to the management and conservation of man-made and natural forests. The scope of the journal includes all forest ecosystems of the world.A refereeing process ensures the quality and international interest of the manuscripts accepted for publication. The journal aims to encourage communication between scientists in disparate fields who share a common interest in ecology and forest management, and to bridge the gap between research workers and forest managers in the field to the benefit of both.The editors encourage submission of papers that will have the strongest interest and value to the Journal's international readership. Some key features of papers with strong interest include:1. Clear connections between the ecology and management of forests;2. Novel ideas or approaches to important challenges in forest ecology and management;3. Studies that address a population of interest beyond the scale of single research sites (see the editorial, Three key points in the design of forest experiments, Forest Ecology and Management 255 (2008) 2022-2023);4. Review Articles on timely, important topics. Authors are encouraged to contact one of the editors to discuss the potential suitability of a review manuscript.We now receive many more submissions than we can publish. Many papers are rejected because they do not fit within the aims and scope detailed above. Some examples include:1. Papers in which the primary focus is, for example, entomology or pathology or soil science or remote sensing, but where the links to, and implications for, forest management are not clear and have not been strongly developed; 2. Model-based investigations that do not include a substantial field-based validation component;3. Local or regional studies of diversity aimed at the development of conservation policies;4. The effects of forestry practices that do not include a strong ecological component (for example, the effects of weed control or fertilizer application on yield);5. This peer reviewed, highly specialized journal covers forest pathological problems occurring in any part of the world. Research and review articles, short communications and book reviews are addressed to the professional, working with forest tree diseases caused by fungi, bacteria, nematodes, viruses, and phytoplasms; their biology, morphology, and pathology; disorders arising from genetic anomalies and physical or chemical factors in the environment. Articles are published in English. Fields of interest: Forest pathology, effects of air pollution and adverse environmental conditions on trees and forest ecosystems.

Forest Policy and Economics has grown into a well-established and recognized academic journal, which publishes peer-reviewed political and economic research relating to forests and forest-related industries, which are of a high scientific standard. It also welcomes contributions from other social science and humanities perspectives, which make a clear theoretical/conceptual and methodological contribution to existing international literatures. These may include, but are not limited to, planning, sociology, anthropology, history, jurisprudence, and psychology research on forests.The journal invites high quality, original submissions of research and review manuscripts from around the globe as well as proposals for special issues, which resulted from intense previous scientific exchange.
