European Surgical Research'' features original clinical and experimental papers, condensed reviews of new knowledge relevant to surgical research, and short technical notes serving the information needs of investigators in various fields of operative medicine. Coverage includes surgery, surgical pathophysiology, drug usage, and new surgical techniques. Special consideration is given to information on the use of animal models, physiological and biological methods as well as biophysical measuring and recording systems. The European Thyroid Journal publishes papers reporting original research in basic, translational and clinical thyroidology. The Journal was established by the European Conference of Transport Research Institutes (ECTRI).

Papers published in the Journal are subjected to peer-review in accordance with standard international practices for scholarly journals., In addition, the Journal will also periodically publish information papers, as well as book and conference reviews regarding transport policy and research in Europe.
