The European Journal of Economics and Economic Policies: Intervention (EJEEP) is a peer-reviewed journal which serves as a forum for studies in macroeconomic theory, economic institutions and economic policies. The managing editors aim for productive debates involving one or more variants of heterodox economics, and invite contributions acknowledging the pluralism of research approaches. The submission of both theoretical and empirical work is encouraged. The managing editors contend that a wide variety of institutional and social factors shape economic life and economic processes. Only a careful study and integration of such factors into economics will lead to theoretical progress and to competent economic policy recommendations. This was clearly demonstrated by the inadequacy of orthodox economics, based on neoclassical foundations, to provide suitable explanations and responses to recent financial and economic crises.

The European Journal of Education is an international, peer reviewed journal that presents high quality, recent research and policy analysis with a primary focus on Europe, placed in an international perspective. The Journal publishes the results of European research projects and explores key topics of concern to policy makers and international organisations in Europe and further afield. The Editorial Board brings together academics and policy analysts from different European countries and major international organisations. The European Journal of Education is now indexed by Thomson ISI and has received an impact factor since 2010. With European comparative perspective, the European Journal of Education provides brokerage between research and policy communities, covering a range of thematic areas, addressing influential stakeholders and leaders. Evidence-based public policy is a growing area that needs well-researched, appropriate evidence that refers to a set of values. The main aims of the European Journal of Education are to: • contribute to the policy debate at the national and European level by providing European administrators and policy-makers in international organisations, national and local governments with comparative and up-to-date material centred on specific themes of common interest. • examine, compare and assess education policies, trends, reforms and programmes of European countries in an international perspective. • disseminate policy debates and research results to a wide audience of academics, researchers, practitioners and students of education sciences. EJE is a thematic journal. Part I of each issue contains 5 to 8 articles around a selected theme presenting a range of perspectives and research on the topic under analysis and the key issues for future research and policy. The Guest Editors are acknowledged experts in their field. Themes are identified by the board; they come from European-funded research projects or are based on conferences and seminars. They are proposed by board members, editorial correspondents or other colleagues from all over Europe. Part II contains articles on other themes that have been submitted for publication and peer reviewed. EJE is the only European journal publishing about education matters that covers a broad spectrum in education, aiming to build bridges between research and policy and to address issues of concern to the different levels and types of education, transversal topics and ‘big issues’ for policy agendas. This includes an active and on-going discussion of EU education policy. The Journal welcomes cross-disciplinary approaches within the education sector and with other sectors. The European Journal of Emergency Medicine serves the European emergency medicine community and promotes European standards of training, diagnosis and care in this rapidly growing field. The European Research Area has now become a reality. The prime objective of the EJECE is to fully document advances in European scientific and technical research in the fields of sustainable construction and environmental engineering. In particular regard to the latter, the environmental preservation of natural media (soils and rocks) and the mitigation of soil pollutions, natural and technological risks are now not only major societal challenges, but they are also the source of scientific and technical developments that could be extremely beneficial.Areas covered by the EJECE include rheology of geomaterials (cement, soils, rocks), natural media (muds, snow, ice, etc.) and granular materials, soil-fluid-structure interactions and their coupling with temperature, chemistry (degradation, etc.) and time (durability, ageing, etc.), computation and design of structures and engineering works. The new experimental facilities and measurement tools (metrology and sensors in laboratories and in the field, etc.) and the characterizing of displacement fields and of micro-meso-structures of materials (scanner, tomodensitometer, etc.) give rise to major innovations which concern thus primarily the EJECE . Finally the numerical methods (finite differences, finite elements, discrete elements, particulate methods, etc), which constitute obviously the bases of the modelling and of the computation of structures and engineering works, fall completely in the interest area of the Journal.Furthermore, as issues related to the environment are obviously of a pluridisciplinary nature, contributions based on probability, reliability studies or statistics, geology or geophysics, thermodynamics, physics of divided matter or chemistry of materials are welcome.The Journal has a wide audience that extends from public and private researchers to engineers in research departments or companies, and aspects linked to applications or to normalisation will also be published.
Founded in 1985, the European Journal of Epidemiology is a forum on the epidemiology of communicable and non-communicable diseases and their control. The results of epidemiologic studies are essential arguments for action in the field of public health policies and efforts are made to bring the journal to the attention of public health decision makers.
