Remote Sensing Applications: Society and Environment

eISSN: 2352-9385
The journal 'Remote Sensing Applications: Society and Environment' (RSASE) focuses on remote sensing studies that address specific topics with an emphasis on environmental and societal issues - regional / local studies with global significance. Subjects are encouraged to have an interdisciplinary approach and include, but are not limited by: "
  • Global and climate change studies addressing the impact of increasing concentrations of greenhouse gases, CO2 emission, carbon balance and carbon mitigation, energy system on social and environmental systems
  • Ecological and environmental issues including biodiversity, ecosystem dynamics, land degradation, atmospheric and water pollution, urban footprint, ecosystem management and natural hazards (e.g. earthquakes, typhoons, floods, landslides)
  • Natural resource studies including land-use in general, biomass estimation, forests, agricultural land, plantation, soils, coral reefs, wetland and water resources
  • Agriculture, food production systems and food security outcomes
  • Socio-economic issues including urban systems, urban growth, public health, epidemics, land-use transition and land use conflicts
  • Oceanography and coastal zone studies, including sea level rise projections, coastlines changes and the ocean-land interface
  • Regional challenges for remote sensing application techniques, monitoring and analysis, such as cloud screening and atmospheric correction for tropical regions
  • Interdisciplinary studies combining remote sensing, household survey data, field measurements and models to address environmental, societal and sustainability issues
  • Quantitative and qualitative analysis that documents the impact of using remote sensing studies in social, political, environmental or economic systems

In addition to original research papers, comprehensive review articles are welcome. Tutorial papers and brief papers containing significant new data or techniques, or commenting on previously published papers (letters to the Editor), may be published as Short Communications.

Remote Sensing Letters

ISSN: 2150-704XeISSN: 2150-7058

Remote Sensing Letters is a peer-reviewed international journal committed to the rapid publication of articles advancing the science and technology of remote sensing as well as its applications. The journal originates from a successful section, of the same name, contained in the International Journal of Remote Sensing from 1983-2009. Articles may address any aspect of remote sensing of relevance to the journal's readership including, but not limited to, developments in sensor technology, advances in image processing and Earth-orientated applications, whether terrestrial, oceanic or atmospheric. Articles should make a positive impact on the subject by either contributing new and original information or through provision of theoretical, methodological or commentary material that acts to strengthen the subject. Articles should be submitted through the journal's ScholarOne Manuscripts site and may be of no more than 10 journal pages in length; it may be possible to transfer articles such as those that cannot meet this limit to the International Journal of Remote Sensing. Articles that pass initial processing stages will be sent out for review. The reviews solicited from independent experts and the journal's editorial board will inform the editorial decisions. There is no charge for colour illustrations. --- Disclaimer for Scientific, Technical and Social Science Publications Taylor & Francis make every effort to ensure the accuracy of all the information (the 'Content') contained in its publications. Remote Sensing of Environment

ISSN: 0034-4257eISSN: 1879-0704

Remote Sensing of Environment serves the remote sensing community with the publication of results on theory, science, applications and technology of remote sensing of Earth resources and environment. Thoroughly interdisciplinary, this journal publishes on terrestrial, oceanic, and atmospheric sensing. The emphasis of the journal is on biophysical and quantitative approaches to remote sensing at local to global scales. Areas of interest include, but are not necessarily restricted to:– Agriculture, forestry and range– Biophysical-spectral models– Ecology– Earth and environmental science– Geography and land information– Geology and geoscience– Hydrology and water resources– Image processing and analysis– Atmospheric science and meteorology– Oceanography– Sensor systems and spectral-radiometric measurementsIn addition to original research papers, comprehensive review articles are welcome. Brief papers containing significant new data or techniques may be published as Short Communications.Benefits to authorsWe also provide many author benefits, such as free PDFs, a liberal copyright policy, special discounts on Elsevier publications and much more. ISSN: 0035-6883eISSN: 2039-4942
DOAJ Logo

The Rivista Italiana di Paleontologia e Stratigrafia was founded in 1895. It publishes original papers dealing with all fields of paleontology and micropaleontology, stratigraphy, biostratigraphy and sedimentology, mostly from the Italian and Mediterranean region, but also from other Tethyan areas, like for example Central Asia and Himalaya. All papers are written in English since 1994 and are reviewed by international experts. The journal is currently indexed and abstracted by AGI, ISI, Current Contents, Georef, Geological Abstract and SciSearch. The Rivista Italiana di Paleontologia e Stratigrafia is published in three issues (one volume) each year in A4 format.
