Hydrogeology Journal was founded in 1992 to foster understanding of hydrogeology; to describe worldwide progress in hydrogeology; and to provide an accessible forum for scientists, researchers, engineers, and practitioners in developing and industrialized countries. Since then, the journal has earned a large worldwide readership. Its peer-reviewed research articles integrate subsurface hydrology and geology with supporting disciplines: geochemistry, geophysics, geomorphology, geobiology, surface-water hydrology, tectonics, numerical modeling, economics, and sociology. Articles explore theoretical and applied aspects of hydrogeologic science, including studies ranging from local areas and short time periods to global problems and geologic time; innovative instrumentation; water-resource and mineral-resource evaluations; overviews of hydrogeologic systems of interest in various regions, and more.

Hypertension Research is an international journal devoted to research on all aspects of the field of hypertension and related cardiovascular diseases. It is the leading clinical research journal in the Asia-Pacific region.Hypertension Research now offers authors the option for immediate open access publication. The International Review of Intellectual Property and Competition Law (IIC), tracks worldwide developments in intellectual property and competition law, presenting the finest academic research in these fields from a European legal perspective.  Our scholarly emphasis concentrates on disseminating and expanding upon the European approach to law. Our goal is to set ourselves apart from other (esp. several US) publications. To this end we focus on two specific aims:(1)   The most significant legal developments from around the world (including, in particular, Asia), are taken up and considered within the European context. These developments are presented in a manner that is understandable not only to a European audience, but also to US and Japanese readers.(2)   Current legal developments occurring in Europe are examined in such a way that the non-European reader can appreciate their significance.IIC offers a platform for opposing ideas, providing for rich debate on a host of current IP and competition law topics.The value of IIC for European specialists, going beyond other “European” journals, rests in our treatment of non-European topics combined with our illuminating analyses of European legal developments as seen within a global legal context.For non-European specialists, IIC is the medium of choice as it explores developments extending beyond strictly European legal issues (i.e. developments in Asia, India, the Near East, Africa, Latin and North America), while at the same time conveying a European viewpoint on these events. In this respect, the target readership comprises those (including Americans and Asians) interested in more than merely legal developments in the USA.We make no compromises with regard to the scholarly nature of the journal. In its scope it is policy-oriented and focused on applied research work.The Journal aims at contributing to the current policy debate across Europe and within its various countries. The IZA Journal of Migration is a peer-reviewed open access journal published under the brand SpringerOpen, covering all issues related to the economics of migration and ethnicity in developed or developing countries. The journal constitutes the first platform dedicated to fostering the international debate and to promoting publication excellence in the field of migration economics. The IZA Journal of Migration publishes original theoretical and applied contributions, including topics such as the determinants and consequences of human mobility in both sending and receiving regions and the analysis of migration experience – including the assimilation of migrants and their children, their occupational choices, the role of immigrants’ social networks and remittance behavior. Likewise, the journal encourages submissions of papers covering topics such as the economic analysis of ethnicity, ethnic identity, and language.At a broader level, the IZA Journal of Migration aims at providing policymakers with evidence-based insight on the economics of internal and international migration. Ichthyological Research is an official journal of the Ichthyological Society of Japan and is published quarterly in January, April, July, and November. The journal primarily publishes research papers on original work, either descriptive or experimental, that advances the understanding of the diversity of fishes. Ichthyological Research strives to cover all aspects of fish biology, including taxonomy, systematics, evolution, biogeography, ecology, ethology, genetics, morphology, and physiology. Ichthyological Research also publishes timely reviews and commentary on recent progress in active areas of research on fish biology.
