Critical Studies on Security

Security is one of the defining features of our, or any, time. Collectively we seek security, value security, desire security, while at the same time often being troubled by the actions that are taken in the name of our security.  Critical Studies on Security is an international, peer-reviewed journal dedicated to the study of ‘security’ in and through social critique. The journal aims to publish theoretically informed scholarship, which engages with the practice and politics of security. We welcome articles from or across the range of disciplines, and from any of the critical social theoretical positions.

Critical Studies on Security publishes scholarship that has undergone rigorous peer review, including an initial screening by the editors, and recommendation by at least two anonymous reviewers.

The journal provides a forum for both younger and established scholars engaged in research at the cutting edge of contemporary Holocaust studies. The interests?of the journal are broad and include the investigation?of Nazi genocides as historical and social phenomena, their origins and their consequences. Further, the journal explores the issues of representation and memorialisation through the investigation of film, literature, testimony and public rituals. The geographical and chronological focus of the journal is also extensive.

The journal looks forward to publishing work which considers the Nazi politics of destruction in a global context, including their continuing and wide-ranging legal, social, cultural and political repercussions.

Nutrition Reviews is an international and highly cited journal that has published authoritative and critical reviews of the latest research in all areas of the rapidly advancing fields of nutrition science and policy since 1942. Sustainability Science and Technology is an interdisciplinary, open access journal dedicated to advances in science, technology, and engineering that can contribute to a more sustainable planet. It focuses on breakthroughs in all science and engineering disciplines that address one or more of the three sustainability pillars: environmental, social and/or economic.
